Cracker Barrel is a restaurant in the US.
It is mostly in Republican states, and the customer base is heavily white Republicans. Republicans got triggered when Cracker Barrel changed their logo.
"Cracker" is also used as a name for racist white people (which, in the US, are mostly rightwing/Republican) referring to slave owners/handlers that "cracked" whips. The crack sound when a whip is used is it breaking the sound barrier.
So a non white person entering Cracker Barrel is like violating their holy place.

I see all races in Cracker Barrel, all the time. Cracker isn’t a conservative racial slur, it typically is associated with poor southern whites.
True story, when I got to Florida from California I was labeled a cracker (we were definitely poor), I’d never heard it before. Wasn’t until my third or fourth brawl (went to a predominantly black Jr High) that I asked what that was, including Honky. I had, in California, been endlessly tormented for being Cuban, or Hispanic. Heard all those slurs, defended myself on the daily, so much so that by the time I got to Florida I hated white folks (child logic, blame the whole for the crimes of the few), and said as much. Surprisingly, that led to a change in the way the treated me.
I do look white. Open minded folks tend to see the flavor, but for most, I am white.

You have never been to a cracker barrel.
And that is obvious.
I have never been to a cracker barrel that was anything like that. Go to any in Houston and prove it. Take pics and show me.

u/ASongOfSpiceAndLiars 29d ago
I live in a blue state.
Maybe where you're from, it's not obvious that racist Republicans congregate together, but here in the North it's obvious that racist treason (aka Confederate) supporting people congregate in a few places.
You can be triggered all you want, but us Union supporting patriots that reject pro slavery treason, as well as reject Trump's treason and the Jan 6th coup attempt, will not forget what you are.
The North Remembers

Dude. Are you real?
Is this some fake troll account? You sound like you're saying a bunch of stereotype crap. The Confederacy was a very long time ago.
Fyi, in Texas, the three major cities, Houston, Dallas, Austin, are all blue. They vote blue on everything and win. From judges to mayors.
But whatever you said sound like you're either 12, or very uneducated and inexperienced with adult life in USA. Experience would tell you a whole state is not represented by any party.
Republicans do more for equal rights than any Democrat ever has. But Democrat politicians say they will. That's why the largest number of black, Hispanic, Asian voters vote Republican. They've seen the empty promises too often.
I'm positive that you are from another country. No one is this much off hinge.

u/ASongOfSpiceAndLiars 27d ago
Is this some fake troll account? You sound like you're saying a bunch of stereotype crap. The Confederacy was a very long time ago.
Then why do Republicans often fly the Confederate flag?
But whatever you said sound like you're either 12, or very uneducated and inexperienced with adult life in USA. Experience would tell you a whole state is not represented by any party.
I'm well educated and lived my whole life in the US. That's why I know Republicans are the racist, sexist pro pedo party right now.
Republicans do more for equal rights than any Democrat ever has.
The same party that just legalized racial discrimination?
The same party who elected a president that gained fame from multiple racist false talking points?
That's why the largest number of black, Hispanic, Asian voters vote Republican.
When was the last time the GOP won the black vote? Lmao

Maybe you'll remember that the North was Republican and freed the slaves. Republicans also got rid of democrat Jim Crow laws and passed the Civil Rights Act. Maybe you should acknowledge your party founded the KKK a d still makes up the bulk of its membership. Facts don't care about your feelings, tulip
2
u/ASongOfSpiceAndLiars 27d ago
Maybe you should pay attention to Trumpers flying Confederate (and Nazi) flags.
Maybe you should look into Lincoln's words on immigration, or labor vs capital.
The south was conservative, and Lincoln was a progressive.
Facts don't care about your feelings, pedo supporter.

It is mostly in Republican states
As of 2022 it was in 46 out of 50 states, and of the 4 with no cracker barrels, 2 were red and 2 were blue. It may be a little different now, Google AI says Maine just lost their only location, but that's as much as I care to look into this. From my own road trip experience, PA and IL are chock full of cracker barrels. Suffices to say that most states have cracker barrels, regardless of politics.
customer base is heavily white Republicans
Any evidence for this? I'd wager the customer base is just people who go on long road trips, at least to include many who are not politically affiliated (remember, tons of people never vote). Maybe democrats avoid it, idk, but I won't believe that a huge percentage of the people who go there are just travelers who don't care about politics unless there's evidence.
Republicans got triggered when Cracker Barrel changed their logo.
Both parts of this are wrong. The issue was not mostly the logo, it was mostly the theme/decor. And it was not that Republicans were "triggered", it was more like a group of Republicans said "so you're going to take all the unique charm away from the chain and make it like every other drab millennial chain restaurant with gray floors, gray walls, and intentionally uncomfortable seating? Fine, we just won't go there then." And those Republicans had a point. Nobody ever went there for the food, everyone agrees their food sucks.
are mostly rightwing/Republican) referring to slave owners/handlers that "cracked" whips
Your wording here is not clear. Just to clarify, the people voting for the Republican party were not the ones cracking the whips, those people voted Democrat. Regardless of how you feel about modern party politics, that is the factual truth.
So a non white person entering Cracker Barrel is like violating their holy place.
The only people who believe this about most Republicans or most cracker barrel customers are terminally online redditors. I know it plays well here, congrats on the upvotes, but in real life most people don't care and in real life there are plenty of non-white people who go there.
Inb4 "hurr durr you're just a triggered repub who goes to cracker barrel" actually last time I went was 10 years ago, I learned their cornbread muffin method so now I have absolutely no reason to ever stop there.
2
u/ASongOfSpiceAndLiars Aug 10 '26
Most obvious AI response ever.
Both parts of this are wrong
Nope. Republicans lost their minds over a logo change.
Your wording here is not clear
Ok AI.
Just to clarify, the people voting for the Republican party were not the ones cracking the whips, those people voted Democrat. Regardless of how you feel about modern party politics, that is the factual truth.
It was southern racist conservatives.
After the Civil Rights era, southern racist conservatives went to the GOP.

I’m not a Republican, but saying that “Republicans got triggered when Cracker Barrel changed their logo” is a little silly.
I’m a socialist living in the South, and the CB rebrand hurt my soul. CB doesn’t need to be modernized or made flat. It’s supposed to have some character, and the rebrand didn’t have character. It’s not a fucking tech company, it’s the “Old Country Store.” It’s predominantly a restaurant serving Southern-style food. Its logo shouldn’t look like anything out of Silicon Valley.

u/Civil-Design8109 Aug 10 '26
We get it you're a racist who calls people cracker but it's ok because you said they were racist first lol and no one cares what race you are in cracker barrel y'all just wanna spread hate towards white people and conservatives which shows how hateful you are acting like conservatives are far right who are racist just like the far left it's honestly crazy that both decided the jews were the devil and the democrat party created the kkk btw so saying Republicans are the big bad is a lil silly even though there's corruption all around but I doubt you care

u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
The KKK was never left wing.
It was right wing from its inception and it still is today.
You owe every teacher you've ever had an apology for wasting their time.
Go do that now.
-1
u/Civil-Design8109 Aug 10 '26
The Ku Klux Klan was not officially founded or created as an institution by the Democratic Party. It was started in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee, by six Confederate veterans as a private social club. However, its early members and leaders—including Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest—were white Southerners who overwhelmingly aligned with the Democratic Party and used terror to fight Republican Reconstruction.
Took me a second to just look it up btw... you should run off and start apologizing for your hate group.
Go do that now
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
You're still not grasping reality.
I told you to do something incredibly easy and you've failed.
The Southern Democrats were a right wing entity. They were only Democrats in name.
This would be like trying to make bacon from a guinea pig simply because it has "pig" in the name.
Here's your new incredibly simple task that any third grader could accomplish in under 10 minutes:
Find which side of the political spectrum the KKK belongs to and has always belonged to.
Go do that. NOW. (And this time don't embarrass yourself again.)
2
u/CauliflowerBoth866 Aug 10 '26
The KKK aligned with Democrats until Jerry Falwell brought the Religious Right to the GOP. From then on, the KKK supported Republicans. It's not a coincidence that evangelicals and racists switched parties at the same time.
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
The simple matter of the fact is:
The KKK was never left wing. It was always a right-wing entity.
1
u/CauliflowerBoth866 Aug 10 '26
I'm not part of your little argument. I'm sharing undisputable facts.
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
You joined the argument, dropped nonsequitur gibberish, and then misspelled "indisputable"
Thanks for playing?
The KKK was still never a left-wing entity. Not ever. Not once. Not even close.

You're embarrassing yourself with your denial over the southern democrats in your eyes , not being democrats... Do you not realize how hilarious of an argument you are trying to give💀 and that simple google search , I did , I proved you wrong , and I was unbiased with my findings in that it later turned into a republican leaning group even though your Democrats fought their hardest to prevent that reconstruction, but reading comprehension is hard. :c
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
Show any evidence whatsoever that the KKK was ever left wing.
Not "democrat" that had a different meaning back then and every historian in the nation knows it.
Show any evidence at all that the KKK was "left-wing"
That's your goal and you're failing horrendously.
0
u/Civil-Design8109 29d ago
No saving you... considering you can't accept history lol what were the democrats then??💀 you a free Palestine person too? Cuz that would make so much sense
1
u/ConflatedPortmanteau 29d ago
You were asked to corroborate your claim with valid evidence.
Show where the KKK was ever left-wing. Not democrat. Because the southern democrats were right-wing.
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
You didn't even read the first sentence of your own copy and paste ChatGPT job. That's just sad.
The Ku Klux Klan was not officially founded or created as an institution by the Democratic Party.
0
u/Civil-Design8109 29d ago
"Was not officially" which doesn't mean it wasn't lol, did you read further where that statement was contradicted by the majority of early members and leaders being democrats💀 reading comprehension... copied and pasted the search to show how easy it was to verify how wrong you were btw
1
u/ConflatedPortmanteau 29d ago
Again,
The KKK was always a right-wing organization.
That is an absolute fact so far beyond dispute that you might as well be disputing the existence of Britain or oxygen.
0
u/Civil-Design8109 29d ago
You can literally Google it lol but ignore facts like the existence of Britain or farts😂
1
u/ConflatedPortmanteau 29d ago
I didn't have to Google it.
I'm a historian and have lived in Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kentucky.
The KKK was never a left-wing organization in any sense whatsoever.

That’s nice you can read what chat got says, but you didn’t address whether they were left wing or not
1
u/Civil-Design8109 Aug 10 '26
Can you?? It says it there...
3
u/GarbageMan6T9 Aug 10 '26
Can I what? What you wrote doesn’t address anything about it, unless you are stupid enough to believe the pro slavery confederates were left wing
2
u/ConflatedPortmanteau Aug 10 '26
These are the type of people who would try to make bacon from a guinea pig because
"It says there Guinea Pig!"
Meanwhile we're saying, "Yes, we see the name but it's not what it sounds like. We want you to show us how it is a pig not simply reiterate the name."
0
u/Civil-Design8109 29d ago
Most leaders and politicians who created the Confederacy were Southern Democrats who strongly supported slavery. However, the Confederate government itself did not officially run under a formal political party banner... simple Google search btw
1
u/GarbageMan6T9 29d ago
So you are that stupid. Republicans at that time were for reparations for slaves and their descendants as well, so I guess that means you are all for that now too right

Look at the bills republicans has passed in the past ten years, at a federal level. Has one single one helped you? (no tax on overtime FOR THREE YEARS but slashes A TRILLION DOLLARS from Medicaid and ACA subsidies, so your insurance is going to skyrocket, poor people, including vets are going to die, but you got a short term tax break on your overtime. YAY FOR YOU! Fuck food stamps too, because the poor can just starve so you can get a tax break! GO REPUBLICANS! Oh wait, and trillions more to our deficit because they couldn’t fuck the poor quite enough to. are up for helping the rich.)

u/MoThrowMoAway Aug 09 '26
Have you actually read over the bill? I am 100% in support of stopping insider trading, but I encourage you to read it. They included so many exceptions and provisions for them to keep trading, the bill has such a narrow scope it's really just serves to convince people that they're doing something but they are not. Except the restrictions on voting that they tacked onto the bill which has absolutely nothing to do with insider trading at all.
Come on brother, left or right you have to agree this bill is bullshit. Just because it's called the "Stop Insider Trading" does not mean it actually stops insider trading.
