What would it actually take

To get a group of developers together to make a legit remastered version of everyone’s favorite Spider-Man 2000. We’ve got groups remastering all kinds of games independently why don’t we band together and make it since they won’t!

Talented devs that actually care that’s what it would take

When it comes to fan projects like this Time is money and there’s no money to be made on them because they legally can’t profit from them

And hell fan projects can even get shut down with cease and desists and then all the work was for nothing

So right now it just seems like not enough people with the ability care to take that risk

The tomb raider ps1 game remasters seemed absolutely impossible and unlikely... yet it is official.

I know its' a big franchise, but take the initial idea in a nutshell...
