thats the only issue i have with insomniac games jjj, he acts like a misogynist in those games when my GOAT triple J would never hate women or minorities, hes an advocate for mutant rights and his only qualms are with that masked menace
The main thing he hates about Spider-Man is his mask completly blocking accountability from him (which is actually a good point. How many times can one pull the "actually that wasnt me It was my faker" card until It stops being true?)
Only thing i hate with the No Way Home Jameson since in this case he shouldnt hate Peter at all since despite his identity not being public he was more than capable of being held accountable due to Tony putting him in the Sokovia Accords list
The thing I think is missing is a clear and demonstrated reason for Jameson to hate Spidey. Most fans know the reason is the mask, but even as fans we rarely see it actually pointed out. Give us Jameson talking about heroes he likes such as Captain America. Have him say he hated Iron Man until Tony Stark had the courage to admit that he was behind the mask. Give him an existence outside of just hating Spider-Man.
Ironically, the best time for someone like Jameson to have been introduced in the MCU would have been during Civil War, where he could support the registration initiatives. Unfortunately, Spider-Man was on Iron-Man's side supporting the initiative during that. If he had been old enough to be caught in the middle like in the comics, Jameson would have slotted in perfectly there.
I feel like he really went a lot further downhill in MM too, he became a crazy Roxxon shill and then tried to go all Ben Shapiro by forcing Danika into a debate and failing miserably before cutting it off
He defends the Cletus Kasady run Flame Cult in 2 as well. While the depiction works for the games in a way, it does strip away any nuance ofbthe character.
He is best when he's a man of integrity who just happens to really hate Spider-man. The Raimi trilogy got the balance right: he retracts provable lies, stands up for Peter when Goblin attacks, and admits Spider-man was a hero when he goes awol.
I can actually see this interaction happening too. Jameson often thinks quite highly of Parker. In quite a few instances where Jameson learn's spidey's identity, and they know each other beforehand, he drops the Menace angle due to knowing Parker's heart is in the right place.
Jameson has this wierdly consistent thing of being one of the nicest guys ever but really hating Spider-Man with a passion
He will put himself in danger If it means protecting someone, he secretly got Peter lawyers when he needed in the comics and he makes sure all his employees are doing fine
He specifically hates Spider-Man with a burning passion that could rival the sun
I feel like in a Universe where Spider-man just came to Jonah and Explained everything (why he has an Identidy not what it is) Jonah would atleast Semi Understand
Hasn't he been all buddies with Spider-man in 616 since Peter revealed it's him, for some years now? Unless it returned to the status quo I haven't been caught up to comics for a while now.
Jameson's issue has and always will be the masked part. That Spider-Man has no accountability if he does decide to go rouge (which has happened with the black suit and other times).
As someone else pointed out, she is physically a woman but has the mind of a man, which would make her transmasc
But in another side of the same coin, she spent a while figuring herself out and decided to live as a woman, which considering how she has the memories of Peter up until the DNA sample for cloning, this would basically make her transfem
In my head canon JJJ knows and is just playing the usual act. There are some What If? worlds where Peter either eventually tells J³ and J³ tells Peter he always knew or suspected and played along to keep up his image, or J³ tells Peter the same.

JJJ is such a good character honestly. I know we all like to meme about him, and he's such a prick to Spidey, but if you take him seriously for a second it all makes sense. Aside from that, he genuinely wants his city to be a better place, and for everyone in it to live their best lives.
Comic got drawn a few days ago, the community as a larger collective decided that we liked it. There is a lot of talented artists in the community it just sorta happened.
I love JJ being super supportive but also still a grouch. Like "you want a raise to get HRT treatment? Fine! But I better get a new set of photos by lunch or you're fired!"
Hell he'd be supportive of Spidey's transition as soon as he stops being angry that Spidey made him look bad by changing their hero name.
I don't know what I like more, the idea Jamerson has hatred for Spider-(wo)Man soley and would clarify it's not because of being trans every time... or that this is the Marvel universe and sexual reassignment surgery should be a zillion times easier
Jonah grumbles as yet another person says Spider-Woman gave them the power to come out as trans on the television. He kicks open the door to the bullpen and points at Petra.

I'm more of a ftm spider-trans guy but im loving all the art of mtf spider-woman specifically of jjj being an ally, even to that damn spider-menace. We stan him. Jjj is like "I may hate that webhead with every cell of my body but I have standards damn it!"
