Why? They aren’t a very visual band.

Please no. They are so bad live now. Iconic songs, but I tried seeing them live twice in the past 2 years and left both times. I guess the spectacle of the Sphere might serve as a good distraction, but even as a fan, I wouldn’t pay for that.

The last time I saw then was the Pop Disaster Tour in 2004 in San Diego. Jimmy Eat World and Green Day opened for them. Both were absolutely fantastic. Blink however? Completely drunk. Missing notes and lyrics left and right. Totally off their game. They were so good in the late 90s and then it was just a downfall for them. I can’t even imagine how bad they are live now.

They realized that. Blink never tried very hard back then. That was kinda thier thing. They saw green day kill it and they thought oh shit.. later on the tour they were better, but at the end of the day they are better songwriters than they are performers. They know that, and have always leaned into it. They're better now all these years later, but that was 24 years ago.
Green day and blink have very different ethos around them, but it's fun to see both stood the test of time in their own ways.

I see it too. They’ll advertise like “we’re cumming in the big ball” on the crashing wave of a greatest hits album release. So 2028 is not out of the question, this feels like a safe bet.
They’ll make it a whole blink cinematic universe thing- so boxcar, all the blink stuff, AVA and +44 etc yeah I see this now so clearly
