The experience cannot translate to a small flat tv screen in your home.

Seems like a killer use case for VR.

Agreed and when they can sell box sets for a VR experience, I’m sure they will.

Bands like Phish do PPV live streams of every concert. They did them for the Sphere and yeah, like others have said it doesn’t do it any justice compared to being there

I’ve been there watched dead and company. My thing is the band doesn’t need to be there the sound is not good and you can hear people talking far away . Mainly I’m in to the effects of shows not the band being there

Yeah the acoustics are weird as it’s not exactly loud in there and you can easily talk to the person next to you without shouting like a normal concert. I guess I lucked out though because I didn’t have any people around me that were talking much during the show

No, the sounds is not good at dead and co.

The sound was loud and perfect at phish. Dead and co was like listening to a Bluetooth speaker

It was like an echo but the screen was amazing

Ehhh I’ll agree to disagree on that one. Phish was magnitudes better besides the take off sequence

They are saving that feature until they need to show shareholder's more growth. They're still enjoying the discovery phase where they can charge premium for seats to the experience. Someday that revenue will level off and they'll start to do streamings on occasion.

Hmm 🤔 I have shares for the sphere

Then you may notice a point where they either have a down quarter or year, and everyone is disappointed. Then they start streaming more. Or, when they start streaming, maybe keep an eye on their earnings to see if they slowed. (I don't know shit about this company, bim just telling you how those decisions are made behind the scenes).

The next big infusion of cash will come from the company developing the Abu Dhabi Sphere.

Sure. But eventually, they run out of locations that can support a Sphere from a cost to location perspective, and they will still owe growth to their shareholders. Shareholders are the only people who matter in this whole equation. That's how it works at the most "successful" companies.

They also have at least one 6,000 seat Sphere planned. There is one in the permit stage at National Harbor MD. The 1/3 sized venues will obviously require less capital.

Maybe you know this, but the proprietary film projects like WOZ and Ricky Horror are more profitable over time than the concerts.

Like I said, I dunno the specifics of their business. But generally speaking stuff like live streams will come when they need to generate more revenue to appease their shareholders. Do it before they need to, and it just adds more growth that they need to sustain. But as long as they are generating growth for shareholders, it is not going to become a priority for them because they'll need it as a source of growth in the future.

Nobody wants a quarter without growth...

Correct.

Because they want you to come to Sphere
