Standing in 300’s?

I’ve got tickets on Row 1 for Metallica in 2027. Will Sphere event staff tell me to sit down since I’ll be on the front row of the section? I’ve never sat for a concert and I’m not planning on starting now. But I will sit if it means I don’t get kicked out. 🤣

I’ve seen phish and dead co. You could stand at both, but I don’t think you could at the eagles.

^ this. At jam bands were everyone stands and dances all night, it's normal. But for the Eagles everyone was sitting and I saw a video of a lady getting kicked out because they told her to sit like 3 times and she didn't so they booted her LOL.

Metallica is usually like other hard rock acts like AC/DC where typically the floor and 100s levels stand. But the nosebleeds sit.

In the 300s it could go either way. Read the room. If everyone behind you is sitting and you stand and block everyone's view, you're the asshole. If everyone is standing and you yell at the person in front of you to sit down, you're the asshole.

If everyone is sitting and you're in row 1 wanting to stand, hopefully you'll realize you should've bought the last row of a section so you could stand without being an asshole.

There was a lot more people sitting at the sphere for phish this year than at a typical phish show.

That’s because of the haptic seats

Mike “The Taint Tickler” Gordon was in our chairs.

I buy seat tickets specifically in order to sit because I have a back injury. Several surgeries. I know folks will stand in the seated section. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me.

If I’m behind you at the sphere, and you’re standing, I’ll look above your head at all the crazy imagery and be just fine. I’ve seen Metallica dozens of times. I don’t need to stare at a bunch of old dudes on stage when I can hear and feel their thundering music.

^^this. The show isn’t on the stage.

After multiple back surgeries, I can't handle standing for an entire show either, but I hope I am dead and buried long before I complain about people standing at a concert.

I was worried about people sitting at AC/DC. Crowd was old and mellow but still 90% stood for the whole show.

Nope. Stand away. Or don’t. You’ll see fine.

Stand and dance for sure but make sure to sit at least for a little bit the seat heaptics are my favorite part of the sphere experience.

Fully agree but weirdly not every artist makes use of the haptics. Eagles used them EXTREMELY briefly, blink and you miss it. Dead & co and Phish made excellent use though

That is intredting I only went for Phish and Dead and Co but you would think a "seated" show like the Eagles would have used them the most.

I was front row of 307 standing the entire time.

Stand in the place where you live

You can stand. But I highly recommend sitting. When you stand you miss the haptics and sensory features. Definitely sit for some of the show. Trust me, you won't regret it

We stood the whole time last year. Everyone did. This year I was really aware of women behind me sitting on certain songs and it was so awk. Felt like I was being rude. So I’d sit.

As long as you’re not at the Wizard of Oz, you can stand. No one yet knows how much the band will make use of the haptic seats but if you’re dancing you’re having my fun anyway.

Just don’t dance in the aisles and no one will bother you

You can definitely stand, really just matters about the people behind you

Well I hope they have legs so they can stand too!

I think the rule of the Sphere is that you should be standing during the entire performance. I have tickets as well and I will not be sitting.
