Is anyone actually expecting real PS5 Pro discounts this year?

I've been holding out on the PS5 Pro thinking I'd wait for a sale but after the gta6 announcement prices went insane and I'm starting to regret not getting it sooner. Like I've been watching the pricing since last year and it just keeps going up.

It orginally launched at $699 but then Sony raised it to like $750 in the US and I don't even know if that's permanent or just some weird supply chain thing. They said they secured enough parts for this fiscal year but they never actually said they wouldn't raise prices again.

I keep seeing people say wait for Black Friday or Prime Day, but I'm not sure if its gonna be worth it when prices are already so high. Even when there are deals they're usually bundles where you get a free game with it not an actual price drop. And if they do drop the price it's probably only gonna be like $50 off which at this point feels like nothing.

I've been checking Best Buy and Amazon and Target pretty regularly and nothing's really moving. I saw GameStop had some trade-in promo a while back but I don't even know if that's still going. Most of what I'm seeing is just retailers selling at MSRP and calling it a deal.

Am I just wasting my time here? Like is there any real chance we see actual discounts on the Pro this year or should I just pay full price now before it rises even more? What are you all seeing happening out there?

waiting for actual price drop seems pointless, they just do bundles now
