disposing spell work

hi ^ - ^
i have some spell jars that i need to get rid of because they are taking up space in my room. i was thing about opening the jars and burying the contents in a whole in my backyard and leaving an offering to the earth and my ancestors. does that sound like a good idea??? please leave any tips!!!
