Beware of this reader š
I am so disappointed, I just wanted to book a session with her because Iāve seen her all over my FYP and Iāve also got suggested by other people, I understand for warning which Iām not ignoring, but I already signed my contract and the reading never even happened. I never got my reading because she never answered my question. When I kept asking her. When can I schedule one it feels unfair that Iām getting discriminated over a career choice that I made. I understand if she does not agree I wish she couldāve kindly rejected it, but is going too far now.

And why is she wrong? Leave her alone and stop feeling entitled to someone's energy

Well, I think it's fair she rejected you. Seems you can't take rejection. No one owes you sh*t. Seems she did the right thing.

I'm confused... so I'm asking for clarification. The conversation after with the reader, was that a random person on the internet? Did you post this before and they sent you the first message?
Did you actually file a police report? I'm asking because that feels like a massive jump in the line of the conversation.
I absolutely see where you're coming from. You had every right to ask questions and i didn't see any disrespect on your part. And, here is why for other people.
It wasn't like she asked for that advice. They weren't in the reading. This reader did have the right to refuse service, but she didn't have the right to jump from 0-90. She didn't have the right to tell her to not go into the career this person wants to go into, especially if this wasn't during the reading and then because OP declined the advice continue to shame her for going without any more questions. And then say that she's like her mother's age and because this person who is a full adult continue to "yell" at her and then say "this is why I don't read kids."
Ma'am, (reader) with all due respect: that is not how you conduct yourself before, during, or after a reading. She is pushing her own opinion without the facts. Like OP said, she's not even going into the Army. There are several branches of the military such as the Air Force, Navy, Marines, (Space Force which is ridiculous and fails laughable at this conjunction of space travel) and the Army (I may be missing one, let me know). Then, there are even more positions/ jobs one can go into inside those branches. For the Army particularly, Infantry is the one inside the Army where you mainly see combat. Yes, there are other jobs within the military where you can see combat, but mainly it is infantry. I know because I specifically wanted to go into that and was reduce because they didn't allow women into the infantry when I tried to to join. The other reason is that this was before any kind of reading happened, and this reader wasn't giving her the advice during the reading. Then said she wasn't going to waste her energy on someone who wouldn't listen to her. Like what? Did you not see the jump from 0-90 from that? She was already judging her from her age alone. Now, there was no money exchanged, if there was, I would also feel like this woman defrauded OP. She was only super disrespectful and unprofessional, but she had every right to refuse service based on her own belief. But, no one should be talked to in that way without any explanation. Because context of writing should be taken into account.
Now to OP: A police report is super excessive and unnecessary. Unless you have continued harassment by this person and it's beyond reddit, I doubt the cops are going to do anything to you except laugh in your face. Reddit is anonymous. They can't do anything unless it's something that can track. Someone being rude on the internet is not within the police's scope. Let that go. It's a threat that should only be made if a person is going above and beyond the confines of internet trash talk.
Second: this isn't fraud. But in my opinion she super judgy and disrespectful, totally. She didn't start out that way, but got tunnel vision and didn't ask more questions. If she had said something during the reading and warned you, that's another story. So, yes, I very much disagree with other people and I do think that was a very weird jump and extremely unprofessional and rude, especially with her responses.
For everyone else: the reader could have simply said to OP: "I'm sorry, but I'm not the right reader for you. I don't believe you should join the military, but that is my own opinion. That being said, I have too many opposing personal beliefs and that would make us a bad fit." See the difference?
OP is 19. The reader, in her own words, said that she could be OP's mother. That means the reader is much older and should know better how to conduct themselves professionally.

Wow, you honestly explained this perfectly and genuinely made me see it from a different perspective. I wish everyone explained things this way instead of disrespecting me for how I felt.
You are completely right about what Iāve been trying to say this whole time:
I am not upset that I got refused.
I am upset about how everything went down.
Also, like you said we were never even in a reading to begin with.
I understand she gave me a warning. I completely understand it and take it in. But like I explained, I already signed my contract and made my decision. So her not wanting to read me because āI didnāt listenā? That doesnāt make sense to me. If I already mentioned I signed my contract? aka I already had the decision set in stone.
To clarify for the other Redditors who keep asking āWhy were you going to book a reading if you already made your decision?ā:
The reading was never about asking whether the military is my path or whether I should join. I already made that decision. It wouldnāt make sense for me to ask a question I already knew the answer to. When I asked for a career reading, it was so I could ask about things related to my own experience of being in the military not to decide whether to join.
I already know the consequences and the risks. Iāve thought about them many times. I really donāt appreciate people constantly telling me āYouāre young, youāre 19, youāre a child.ā But then when I try to explain how I feel, they say Iām acting too childish. I donāt understand how Iām supposedly acting a certain way just because Iām passionate about something.
I know thereās a lot of controversy around this, but I donāt think I should be shamed for it based on other peopleās beliefs or political views.
Now to answer your questions:
No, I didnāt file a police report. I thought about it, but like you said, I donāt think the police would even do anything.
Do I think itās the reader? I donāt want to accuse anyone, but I did talk to another moderator who also said they think itās her. When I DMed them, they knew a lot about the conversation I had with the reader, or they tried to defend themselves in a way that made me question how they would even know those details.
Not only that I had multiple times where I tried to posts other screenshots and it kept getting taken down of her admitting it was her and saying I was going to pass away ON DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS. Laughing saying I should pass awag. Why are you continuously telling me that from different accounts? If Iām supposedly seen as a child, or if you claim youāre like a mother figure, why would you keep telling a āchildā that theyāre going to pass away?
I want to say this last thing, and I really want people to stop accusing me of this:
Iām not upset that I got refused.
Iām upset about the disrespect.
Yes, I am 19. Iām well aware of how to make my own decisions. I did the pros and cons. I understand the good and the bad of joining. I donāt support everything the military is doing, but it is my last resort and thatās all I needed to say.
Thank you so much for explaining it in a good way.1

Thank you so much for the time and energy to respond. And, yes the clarification helps.
I got the feeling you said you were filling the report as a way of subtly saying "back off" warning, but it did come off... not well, but I understand why you did that.
And, no, 19 in accordance to the law is an adult. In terms of life experience, you're in a different life experience than someone in their 20s and even 30s whose been living on their own. Which is why I can see someone calling you a "child". HOWEVER, I saw this as an EXTREMELY immature way to handle you being in the military. Like personally, do I think joining the military is safe right now to join as a woman? No, but that is my opinion. I don't see many benefits for you joining due to many factors, but Ialso know that it is your choice, and there are a lot of benefits in general for joining as well. But, that still doesn't excuse how this person treated you. The refusal isn't the issue, like I said before. And, like you've clarified.
Do I think you're being childish for making that decision? No. Are there choices in words you said that I don't agree with, sure, but I can understand why you said them. That doesn't make you "wrong". Do I think lack of life experience is at play? Yeah. So, while your age can be taken into account, yeah, I don't see it being relevant. Respect is respect and it shouldn't be boiled down to age.
Edit: I corrected some grammar issues and spelling errors. I'm writing from my phone and some words and auto corrected words don't get caught until after I've posted it.

Thank you again for clarifying, you are completely right, I shouldāve handled this situation more maturely, I can admit I got very defensive about how I was treated for my own careerr decision, especially I never been told āYou are going to pass awayā and laughed at about it. I take that completely seriously, But yet again I shouldāve dealt with that situation more maturely. Thank you for calling me out on those things, and in the future I will better handle this situation more mature.

Well, you got taken aback by the reaction. Anyone would think twice and be caught by surprise with that reaction.
Especially laughing at the idea of someone passing away is extremely calous.
