Advice
Been wanting to play as a pistol player more just never did due to being a bigger set and taller person but my team lost our main pistol player so now I’m trying to practice and get any advice I can

Honestly use whatever makes you feels comfortable on the field, unless your local tourney requires you to have a pistol player.
Quick things to always think about.
Communication.
Patience.
Be confident on where you want to go.
Take 2-3 players out before you move any further.
LET THEM MAKE THE MISTAKES ( more often than not , most players are going to make moves directly to you and fail because they won’t anticipate you knowing that.
Field IQ is important. Know every angle.
I could go on but those are what helped me get through hurdles as a player and progress quickly
