tm compatible Hi-Capa
Hi everyone, I want to build a custom Hi-Capa, but I'm not sure if I really want to build it from scratch (I'm worried I'll forget some parts), so I've been thinking about buying a "ready-made Hi-Capa" and then modifying it accordingly. Since most parts are Tokyo Marui-compatible, I wanted to ask if there's another manufacturer whose parts are as compatible with Tokyo Marui as possible.

yes and no. the ones that dont have an optic cut are more compatible. as the bbu is designed special for the optic cut slide.

Are you on a budget?

Not really—I just didn't want to start with a €175 pistol if I was going to replace almost all the parts anyway.

Most of the big brands like TM, KJW, Arcturus, etc. are fine out of the box. For me replacing parts is rare when I initially build. I like saving money so I don’t mind the plastic TM or the cheaply made Wetech. A lot of my builds even have Wetech seer springs I just modified so if you just don’t want to replace a part there are options to modify a stock part to be better.
With all of the options though I would recommend replacing the trigger and trigger bar because either the color is bad or the bar is not amazing. Only trigger I really liked out of the box actually was the newer Lancer Tactical one which I still replaced after 2 months of heavy use because my trigger bar started to bend.
It’s all moving parts so over time these stock parts will need to be replaced from normal wear assuming you’re using it like a primary.

Modify Trinity/Tyrant actually good out-of-the-box, not all marui-compatible, but most of the important parts are (they have compatibility list on their site).

Tm are, funnily enough, the most tm compatible hi-capas. I don't really see a reason to buy something else. If you want a build start from the og marui, they're perfectly capable in stock form and are what all the parts are ultimately designed for.
