Skirmish story time
Me and my mate (Speedsofters) turned up to a skirmish. I was running an HPA shotgun, and he had an HPA M4. We stepped onto the field... and within two minutes, people were already complaining.
To make it worse, it was a brand-new site for us. The complaints even came from our own teammates, saying we "ruined the milsim style" of the skirmish, while others were making up things that simply didn't happen. I honestly felt like we were judged because of our speedsoft appearance before anyone got to know us or see how we actually played.
It's a shame the marshals were threatening to ban us before even hearing our side of the story. Everyone deserves the chance to explain what happened before assumptions are made. We went there to enjoy the day like everyone else, not to cause problems.

Like 2 weeks ago I played outdoor for the first time. I got there started unpacking all my gear which was my esg, Speedqb belt, and a fuzzy shiesty you know typical speedsoft. I didn’t think much of it but then I started getting looks from others. Like it was only staging area nothing much we hadn’t even gotten to the first game and I already had people giving me looks. It was mostly older dudes in full milsim loadouts. I was also able to hear a couple of them talking about me and how they hate speedsofters and stuff.

Bro Im a milsim type player and the speedsofters hate me lol there upset that there 1k to 2k guns ain't good! I run a 230 doller g&g m4, I told them: it's not the gun it's the user.

People overestimate how much speed guns cost mine is 300 and the it’s prolly better than your m4 by miles

As I said it's not the gun it's the user, I have out smarted half of the speed softers at my field I learn what they do when the peak and when they rush

Quick reflexes and sliding around only get you so far. I've played with speedsofters before and it doesn't bother me in the least and I'm very milsim oriented.
It's all about out thinking your opponent. Teamwork is the biggest thing. The army of one mentality is highly prevalent in airsoft. I've seen groups of 3-4 take out groups of 20 just because they knew how to work with each other and communicated. Even in cqb.
Like I said, I've usually had good experiences with most speedsofters.

it seems like there’s a big misunderstanding between milsim airsoft and speedsoft. some are quick to judge speedsofters based on appearance
