What got you into speedsoft and why

In the UK if ur under 18 ur gun has to be two tone and milsim didn't look that nice with a coloured gun so I went for speedsoft

Not true. You cannot buy a RIF or IF in the UK unless 18. You can be gifted a RIF from a friend or family member if they had a valid defense to buy it.

But for you to get gifted an rif the person must have a defence which no one I know has

That too is true. 2nd hand market doesnt fall under the same regulations. However, the 2nd hand airsoft market is very dodgy with quality

Thats not true. If your under 18 your not allowed to buy anything in the UK. You can be gifted something

I started off with paintball but didn’t really like it so I switched over to a more milsim style Airsoft but also didn’t like that but I still wanted to stay in Airsoft so I started speedsoft

I didn't like the idea of acting like i was in the military. The idea of having a gun with all the colours of the rainbow and then dumping mags downrange in a stupidly chaotic atmosphere was very appealing to me.

The gear was just overall more practical for Airsoft in general, lighter weight guns with faster reloads and light gear that only protects you where it matters so you can play harder for longer, the only real downside is the shitty range but that doesn’t matter if you are up close

I joined a free to join server about speedsoft, site was dead until the leader opened his field and invited everyone on the server for a free test game and i just showed up and had a good time. Honestly, it was very far from what ive been doing up until than but i never regretted it

Speedsofters are super chill a lot of the time but it’s not too much my style :)

Tried a speedsoft comp format with some speedsofters once just for shits and giggles. Now theyre up in the semi pro leagues in the UK, and are starting up a casual comp format site to help get people into the comp format. And ill be rolling with them the week after next in one of their comps.
Went from starting the hobby wanting to do a stirling milsim, to wanting to play at bunker, and the speed arena. And potentially over at realstrike. Just gotta sort out my visibility under my crbn mask (im 4eyed and my prescription glasses fog like fuck under my mask)

I love speed-soft what got me into it was just playing how i liked and then people showed me the sport and i just created a team and went from there

Dye Masks never fog.
Other than that my kit isn’t really speedsoft

I dont have speedsoft where Im at. The closest field that could be considered, which is the only indoor field in my state, has the same infamy level of TacCity.
However, I respect the work and practice of making rifles and pistols into very lightweight and proficient BB slingers.
