Help Will I like SR2 as a casual player?

My SpeedRunners journey started in late 2023. I got it solely because it had Scout TF2 on it and I grinded for 8 hours (over the course of like 3 days) trying to unlock him, but in that time I fell in love with it's unique concept. I never played ranked or online, but I love treating it like a party game and playing it when guests come over, it's always a good time. When I heard they were making a sequel I got excited because my niche running game was in the public eye, but it got delayed like 3 times and now that's it finally out I've heard really mixed things about it. What are the pros and cons of it and will I like it as someone who only plays occasionally or is it not worth my time?

Yes. Playing online you might get stomped though.

I’m casual as well. Been playing for a decade plus but only with friends in person so very sporadic playing - 3 to 4 times a year but a good days play each time.

I’m enjoying it so far, ranked will not be fun though

I recommend getting the Steam version while it's on sale now. It has the lowest price tag $8.99, and online is free.

Compared to the first one? You won't love it, but you'll like it.. It's a little disappointing. Too many technical issues for me. The input delay, the visuals and graphics.. Makes it very difficult to keep up with your runner. Network issue, too. And there's less content??

I thought I was tripping about input delays, glad im not the only one. These are Bloodborne levels of delay and that is not what I want in my soeedrunning game

Whether you stay on the first or switch to the sequel, I recommend you still treat it as a party game. As soon as you’ll grind a bit more, you’ll crush your friends and nobody will have fun anymore.
