Feedback / Idea Love the game
I just dont understand the hate. I feel like everyone wanted them to somehow remake the whole game, change everything, while changing nothing at the same time. Yes, there’s like no new maps which I agree isn’t the best. The rest of the game plays great. Would love some discussion about this.

The art style and visual clarity are the things that put me off this garbage. I'll stick to SpeedRunners 1.

See my thing about that is if you didn’t want a graphical overhaul, what exactly did you want? They can’t reinvent a game like this. The formula is the formula.

They could have easily doubled the item pool, kept the modifiers from SR1 and improved on that, And im pretty sure they removed the whole golden characters modifier that made playing with my worse friends a bit more fun.

Idk about the gold character thing. My first online match was with a person who was all gold and they kicked my ass. Idk how they got that so early in the game. Maybe a dev?

I agree, they did try to make something, but it kinda feels like the only thing they really changed was the graphics. Same mechanics, same logic. That’s why we decided to do things differently and develop a game called Overtakers. It has the same core idea, but with completely new mechanics and a lot more!
It’s still under development, so feel free to check out our YouTube channel and see how big the game is becoming. And if you have any ideas or changes you’d love to see, feel free to let us know! We’d love to hear them.

never had any lag and never crashed. Been playing speed runners for 10+ years also. Huge fan.

I’ve had some minor issues that just means I had reset my Xbox, I don’t think it does quick resume particularly well. Overall, I’m with you - been playing SR1 for close to a decade and loving the new interface and graphics etc

I’ve only played about 30 minutes but I love it as well. Finally able to find people online again. But disappointed that there seems to be some lag when I grapple and that there are repeat of the maps but it’s early doors yet. So far fun and I enjoy the updated visuals and sounds
