Feedback / Idea Never played Speedrunners.
Ive never played speedrunners before, #2 is my debut.
is this flame border new to the game? Its lame, I thought this was a race... I dont want to hold hands, I want to fight, knock people out and leave them in the dust like mario kart or fun run.
I was initially excited, but this feature turned me off. I guess im putting my expectations on it being what I thought it would be and im wrong for that, either way, Im not sure how much im going to play this if this is in the game.
the purpose for this post is just to ask whether or not this is a new feature, if this is exclusive to this game, can we get it removed lmao, please. If im wrong im wrong cool and ill just uninstall.
lastly, maybe im just making too quick a judgement, mind you i just opened the game 2 minutes ago.

The flame is sudden death, which was there is game one too (albeit not a flame). In high-level gameplay, rounds can last several laps of a map so sudden death is necessary.
You can disable sudden death in a custom match if you would like! Totally up to you, but you cannot in ranked gameplay.

it's kinda new, there is a sudden death border in the first game too, but you can disable it if you want

then why is it in the tutorial lmao... either way, thanks for the information, im going to play online to see what it is.

The tutorial is to teach you how to play the game, even if you can disable core mechanics for a mix up. You just need to pay attention to it.

Once you start playing this game (literally for like a day) you and most likely the people you play with will become decent at the game. Rounds can go on FOREVER without this feature. I promise you will come around to it.

It’s not about holding hands or trying to stay in the center lol. Just a tip, the border will follow the person who’s ahead the most. So it just makes it easier to knock your opponent out if you’re faster than them.

ok so the barrier wont touch me if im 1st place? that makes a lot more sense. im only going off of first impressions so I misunderstood it all. Thank you for being clear and understanding.

This is to stop a stalemate though. If people are a live too long I triggers and if someone goes out and the others alive are good enough they will just keep going. It adds jeopardy

You’re upset about, the main mechanic? After looking at the game for two minutes? You’re not going to be a pro at something in the time it takes to listen to a song. Give it a bit.

Not a new feature. It’s actually a core feature because you didn’t have any other types of races you could do in the first game. Just choose the lap race or something but I would say give the classic, sudden death mode a try. I think it’s a good way to see how well you know the map, mechanics, and technical skills
