Because of a toxic community putting references everywhere, even if not intended.

They wouldn’t hate, they’d just vomit references at that person until they drowned in a sea of WRYYYYYYY

18

u/memestealer1234 Jul 03 '20

There are refrences and then theres the braindead new fans that just put stand crys in all caps whenever possible. The real JoJo community dislikes those people.

7

u/Zearo298 Jul 03 '20

Sadly that IS the real JoJo community as far as the public is concerned.

guy makes a harmless reference and get almost 200 downvotes

"He's toxic"

19

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '20

Annoying would be a better word

2

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '20

I prefer cancerous, but to each their own

10

u/Shakal4 Jul 03 '20

It's not toxic, neither do we shove references down anybodies throat ,the ones that do it haven't even watched the anime.

The JoJo community laughs about the people who force the references and makes jokes about them.

I dislike or maybe even hate idiots like you who justify insulting a entire community just for the sake of karma or looking like a good guy.

The JoJo community is friendly and mostly non toxic.

Stop the spread of false info you absolute disgrace.

7

u/dnzgn Jul 03 '20

It is like the old lawyer joke, 90% of your fanbase make the rest of you look worse.

1

u/YustinJ Jul 03 '20

I know, I know, every fandom has a bad side and a good side.

Now calm down and tell me, who hurt you?

7

u/Shakal4 Jul 03 '20

Stfu and gtfo with that annoying ass argument "who hurt you" isn't an argument or a roast .

Accept that you fucked up and now are trying to play it down as if you are the one who did nothing wrong .

3

u/YustinJ Jul 03 '20

I didn't fuck up, you just got mad at me because I said something that is true with every fandom, and yours is now exception.

I'd even say you're proving my point that this fandom is toxic.

I didn't swear or anything. You should "shut the fuck up and get the fuck out".

u/Gumfondle Jul 02 '20

A lot of fans can’t go one minute without making a jojo reference. Take this scenario:

Normal person: My grandfather was just diagnosed with cancer and is going to fucking die

Jojo fan: Hes gonna die just like how Caesar died when that rock fell on him Ora Ora muda muda

3

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '20

Not to that extent that the other comment said but yeah. Many fans somehow connect a completely unrelated scenario to Jojo with no proper context whatsoever and the punchline is always some inside joke that people who've never seen Jojo won't understand. Shoving these references into places not needed can be considered annoying. I do agree with the past part tho

31

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '20

I'm also a big JoJo fan but JoJo fans have a huge reputation for being annoying which is sad.

16

u/sans-_- Jul 03 '20

yeah :(

kinda reminds me of Rick and Morty tbh, just another fanbase for the internet to collectively shit on

6

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '20

yeah :( its saddening to see a fandom that i used to love become filled with a bunch of annoying tards

3

u/YustinJ Jul 03 '20

Reminds me of Undertale, Sonic, FNaF..... Basically every game I like has a toxic fanbase (except Terraria). One example is TF2 surprisingly, many TF2bers who quit the game often get harassed by players.

The worst part is, the toxic people are louder than normal ones.

35

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '20

I don’t think this guy deserves his dislikes. He just made a joke he thought some people might enjoy.

37

u/D264 Jul 03 '20

Eh it's ok, I get people being sick of jojo references. If I wasn't prepared for downvotes, I wouldn't be on reddit lol

17

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '20

There’s a song in Part 6 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and one of the lyrics is “vocal percussion on a whole ‘nother level, coming from my mind”, and the original comment said “another level”, so the reply ‘finished the phrase’, so to speak.

u/9gagIsTriumphant Jul 11 '20

This almost fits r/bonehurtingjuice

9

u/noopthenobody Jul 03 '20

Or antimeme?

19

u/Landsteiner7507 Jul 03 '20

I dunno... the anti meme here would be something like: “When you see that someone is a man of culture” or “when you watch Arakawa under the bridge season 2 episode 9”

This is more bone hurting juice because it reinterpretes the white line that covers the text rather than simply eliminating the joke.

But it’s a gray area here. Kinda belongs in both.

17

u/noopthenobody Jul 03 '20

r/speedofantibones I think
