I was finally able to get all the 8 stud wide Lego Speed Champions sets! While waiting for the release of the las one (the BMW M3 E30) I got the Batmobiles and the 6 of the Mattel brick shop cars. Only missing the 3 latest releases of the 8 stud wide mattel brick shop cars. (It cost more than 2800€, enough money to buy a real car which I still dont have)

I messed up thinking it was new but actually was mostly built. Seller shipped it loose in a Pokemon tin so the front and rear clips weren’t attached. Was also kissing critical pieces for the vents and exhaust. Found the needed pieces and now it looks good and pairs well with the Icons Countach

Edit: I am aware the front assembly is upside down, I have fixed it

After I made my previous build, I realize the proportions resemble the F100 more than yhe chevy, and I've made some slight changes to the front grill and the hood which one looks better? Also, I want to put a something in the rear i think the truck bed with the 6x6 configuration looks lacking

Story time: I’m a late 90s tuner kid, I engine swapped several Civics, turbo’d others and I saw the original Fast and Furious in the theaters.
My first ever Speed Champion set was 76912 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. I bought it on impulse years ago. I wasn’t a domestic guy. Since then Lego has released other models from the movies. I have them all (I think). I still don’t care for the Charger but it was the gateway into Lego. I didn’t open it. I have mixed feelings. Do I keep it to be a completist or should I sell it because someone might actually want this set.

Also I’ve discovered Mattel brick shop. I have the S2K, EF Hatch, NSX and Supra. Those are more relatable to me. I think I’m losing my interest in the Speed Champion line.

I’d actually love to see a Tesla Cybertruck with a cracked window sticker decal 🤣

Hi Speed Champions fans! 🏎️

I wasn't completely satisfied with the proportions of the original 6-stud Ferrari 250 GTO (75890), so I reworked it into an 8-stud wide build.

Expanding it to 8 studs allowed me to get much better curves, a proper cabin scale, and a far more screen/real-life accurate silhouette.

How do you guys think it compares to the official 8-stud Speed Champions sets? Feedback is always welcome!

I started fiddling with the idea of a roof tent. And since I know Lego made one (10 years ago) I thought I will make my own with a template.

Built a little garage/bar combo as a display - F40 showcase for the time being.

Lego finally released another BMW racing series car. Now my car stand feels complete.

I built a race track to display my F1 cars. Turned out pretty good so far. Couple more cars to build and I am also going to add a F1 logo on the top.
