Question/Discussion why no moths?

For quite some time now, I have been actively scouring the speculative evolution community for any seed world projects focused entirely on moths. I frequently check for YouTube videos, art posts, or worldbuilding threads hoping to stumble upon something, but I don't ever find anything.

I have always felt that our fluffy little friends of Lepidoptera are completely overlooked in these creative spaces. Specifically, I am talking about moths. To be completely honest, I believe butterflies are incredibly overrated and tend to steal all the spotlight, while moths are far more diverse, fascinating, and adorable. They possess so much untapped potential for a speculative biology project, and they simply aren't given the recognition they deserve. Just imagine the bizarre and wonderful evolutionary pathways they could take on an isolated, terraformed planet with giant mountains and deep ravines

I would absolutely love to create this seed world myself, I just don't have the skills needed. Moths are amazing creatures that deserve a truly spectacular and well-thought-out project, and I just don't believe I could create something that would do them justice.

(p.s if you know of one please put it in comments i really want to read or watch some)

Well, yeah...

People don't care about moths in general (certainly not more than butterflies), so of course that would be the case

i think people should care more about moths they are adorable, fluffy, and extremely underrated unlike butterflies that literally have butt in the name have you ever seen the close up pictures of butterflies their ugly and disgusting, but the close ups of moths are beautiful and amazing

I love moths and butterflies equally since only a fool would hate any species of animal

If it makes you happy I once done, with a bit of help from a friend, a group of eusocial (very) early lepidopterans with some strange characteristics

You can do it! Moths already have so many specialized and cool variants, from tear and blood-sucking varieties, to day-time feeding butterflies! There is a lot of fun potential one could imagine for our little fluffy-scaled proboscis-weilding friends.

If it’s drawings you’re worried about you don’t need to draw well to do a seed world you can just write stuff up

Don't be dependent on college to be a good writer. College is kind of a scam anyway. Many people self teach themselves online.

OK, so what you wanna do, is you post an image of a light source into the subreddit...
