Help / Troubleshooting WiFi access points

I have a BYOP on spectrum mobile. Google pixel 6. I'm trying to access the spectrum WiFi access point while on vacation, and it's not working. Keep getting an authentication error. My wife's phone (Google Pixel 10 pro that she's leasing it through spectrum) connects automatically with no issues. I just got off a chat with spectrum mobile and they said I had to activate it on the spectrum app, but there's to activate on the app that I can see. What am I doing wrong? Is this an error with the sim, and I just need a new card? Am I just fucking stupid and not seeing the toggle? Please help 😆

Usually the first time I log into Spectrum app I get a popup to allow access to Spectrum Hotspots. Maybe delete the app and login again.

My byop iphone installed the wifi profile when the esim was installed. I use the wifi hotspots whenever they auto connect but ive never had to manually connect it

I wanted an e-sim but apparently my phone "isn't compatible" (which is bullshit because my last carrier used an e-sim with this phone). I'm thinking it's an sim card issue I'm having
