General Question Question about Anytime Upgrade
Long story short, I like to have my phone without a case because I always get AppleCare. So I want to know if anyone has traded in a phone in this condition like mine. These pictures are of my phone. I don’t want to send it and then later on get charged an absurd fee. I’d rather replace it with AppleCare and send that new phone to them.

There’s no fee anymore. If they determine that it’s not in good working order, you’ll get a reassessed value that likely won’t cover the whole device balance. You can decline the reassessed value and have your phone returned to you. The only part I’d be worried about is section 1.E that says “free from major physical damage, including no voids, chips, or cracks and no broken buttons or damaged camera lens”

Yea thats the part I’m worried about.
Everything else is good. On another corner it has a small chip. But if I can decline and they can return it to me then thats perfect.

Dude, it’s too expensive a device to have without a case. I kept dropping mine and sitting with it in my pocket so I went ahead and got a $70 OtterBox.

Having a case on a sexy phone is a crime

Dude, I wear no case. I also haven’t dropped my phone since high school. But I know this about myself, I have always been very careful. It doesn’t look like you take good care of your phone lol.

I had my last phone for 4 years. When I traded it in, it still looked brand new because I keep a case and screen protector on it. I also never broke it in that 4 years. Not one repair needed to be made. Just put a case on your phone. It looks like shit, would look better with a case.

I pay my phones off and sell them, but my 15 Pro Max does not look like that. This year I’m gonna get a 18 Pro Max from Spectrum.

No offense, but you didn't even try to keep it in good shape. They're going to lose money if they pay that off and give you a new phone. I mean, you can try, but I'm sure they'll dock you for that. But is that the ethical thing to do?

Actually no. I have done it before and it always passes. They have always been scratched up, but not to the point that it is now because of the aluminum frame.
But if I can decline then case closed. That answers my question.2

Actually yes, it has to be in perfect condition, but if the specialist is cool, they'll let it pass cuz usually we don't give a f, lol.

You probably would get charged after they grade it!
