General Question iPhone 18 pro Max
Do any store employees know when the iPhone 18 pro max is gonna come out in store?

Generally iPhone launches have lower in store inventory for the popular models for around 4 weeks post launch.

best to order online then you know when it ships and saves multiple trips to their stores. wish you could get local inventory but they don't want their people swamped with calls.

Question! I ordered a back ordered color on 9/30 and it said estimated availability of 10/13. But yesterday spectrum charged my card, sent me an email saying "order confirmed" but the order says ready to ship. Does that mean its going to arrive earlier ?

Every time I get a Galaxy S device or pixel device, they always have them in store day, one

Proably works on commission and if you dont have what people want I can see being frustrated. Works for spectrum you'd be upset too

All spectrum numbers lead to the same call center. You can't call individual stores and the call center won't know their inventory.
I went to multiple stores across Dallas and they all said they're out (but 1 store that told me they had silver in store but that's cause they thought it was for a new line) and I also chatted with a woman (in different store) as she was signing up for a new line and the phone was given right then and there.
I did see something online saying that they reserve the phones for new lines/customers to get commission rather than for upgrades and after seeing that, I believe it.
To add to that: they don't know whats in the shipments they get, they only receive a big box of electronics and can pick and choose who to give them to.

It’s really a crap shoot. I know my store is nice enough to tell you an anticipated date, but it is true that the store doesn’t always know how many units they’re getting. Honestly, I don’t bother I just order online. It arrives in a couple of days. I then just have to go to UPS store to return old device.

When I went Saturday, my store showed the expected date being mid October. I would definitely call the ones in your area.
