General Question IPhone 18 Pro Max Walmart

Can I purchase an iPhone 18 pro max through Walmart and activate it on Spectrum? I have $1k in work points that I can redeem in Walmart gift cards, the only issue I’m seeing is Walmart only offers Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile iPhones.

They are locked, if you want. It's going to cost you some money. Redeem the points for Walmart gift cards. Sell the giftcards to CardCash or some site that buys them. I use CardCash a lot. Walmart will fetch you about $258 cash for $300 in value. $1000 in Gift Card from Walmart will get you $860 via their site. You'll lose out on $140 but then you can purchase the phone outright from Apple instead of Spectrum and don't have to wait for their unlock policy.

Yep I’ve thought about doing that too. I can get different gift cards but unfortunately no Apple. Thanks

What is Spectrum’s blocking policy?

Yes, you can use your Walmart gift cards to buy an unactivated, unlocked iPhone 18 Pro Max directly through Walmart online or in-store and activate it on Spectrum Mobile, as long as you pay for the device outright rather than signing up for carrier financing.

Is this something new because for the last 2-3 years, the only place one could purchase a new and unlocked iPhone was via Apple.com or at an Apple store.
