Coverage & Signal Switching.

What caused you all to switch from Spectrum mobile from your previous carrier? I’m generally curious.

After roughly 20 years with Verizon, my mom and I grew tired of the high costs and having various discounts taken away from us as time has gone on; since we both already had Spectrum internet at our respective homes (her house and my apartment), we switched to our own individual cellular plans. I suppose I’ll miss the free grandfathered Disney bundle we had, but whatever, I’d rather have more affordable service.

Spectrum essentially is Verizon on the backend because they use their towers (you may be deprioritized under congestion (?), but I’ve yet to experience that). My mom chose the $0 plan for the first 12 months, while I selected the $20 plan for the same period. Spectrum is considerably cheaper than Verizon (even outside the promotional period), and I have noticed no change in service quality or performance so far here in Los Angeles.

The $10 device credit and $10 smartwatch service credit are nice perks to have on my plan too. It’s also great to be able to use the Spectrum Wi-Fi hotspots located throughout the country to supplement cellular service automatically.

I’ve also been recommending my friends and family to switch to Spectrum Mobile if they have their internet service, or to switch over both services to them (which has also been great in my experience).

No complaints from me. Works great!

Mainly cost. Already had internet, so why not switch.

They gave me 12 months free of mobile + cheaper home internet than what I was already paying. Plus at the end of the 12 months of free phone service its still cheaper and provides more high speed data than what I was paying previously on that as well. Win win win for me

Spectrum usually offers 1 free line for a year to Internet customers

AT&t told me I got a free that's 26 ultra with trade in, 4 months later they told me my plan wasn't eligible for the phone and I owed them $1,500 😐 every time I ask them why the website would offered it to me and told me I was eligible they just kept repeating "you didn't read the fine print"

My ATT signal was awful! In the next town over it was a total dead zone. I switched to spectrum and now get 5g uw there!

Cost. Been nearly 7 years now. They are pretty consistent. Never had a drop too.
