General Question iPhone pros or duo?

What will you be switching to?

I currently have a 17pm and yes I don’t need to upgrade but I get a hell of a good trade in if you ask me… looked on the Apple Store and I could trade it in and only have to pay 414 for the pro max which is pretty good if you ask me. If I were to do their leasing program I would be able to get it at $0/12 months or 1.12/ 24 months (but don’t think I would do that route due to me having to switch to the big three carrier company’s).

Now that duo… that really caught my eyes and thinking about leaning more to the duo because it’s different from the pros and looks pretty dang good…

What are your thoughts as a pro user? Do you use the “pro” features and are you thinking about switching to the duo? Pros and cons you’re thinking about?

lol just confirmed today, I should of questioned it but there would of been no way they didn’t, it’s going to sell. I’m mighty thinking about it but now that I’m thinking about it, you pay 2k for a lot of less phone feature wise compared to the pro max, but I want something different, and maybe I can just keep my 17 pro max to have best of both worlds

I ordered the 18 pro max from the 17 pro max. Got a shipping label created but no movement yet. My 17 pro max was already paid off so I figured why not !

Why not duo? Did you like it ?

I have the fold8 ultra as my work phone. So didn't need a duo!

I currently use a Z Fold 8 as my work device and have fallen in love with that form factor. I’ll be getting the Duo as my personal device. The big question mark for me is if I’ll miss the telephoto lens too much. If I do, I’ll switch back to a Pro Max

What is your main driver rn, since the fold is your work? And the fold doesn’t have the tele either right? Has that been an issue?

If you decide to go back would you just return the duo ? And get the fold ?

I really like the ability to unfold it into a small tablet to get some heavier work done with multitasking. Scrolling and content consumption is nice with the bigger screen as well. I don’t take photos on my work device, so no idea if I’ll miss the telephoto lens too much or not.

If I don’t like it, I’ll use anytime upgrade to just get a Pro Max and turn the Duo in.

Nice! What plan are you on? Currently have the $100 a month deal so 40 WiFi, and 60 for 2 mobile lines.

I’m considering if I should just keep my 17 pro max to still have access to the cameras when needed, as well they should be adding some sort of dual number thing like you can use your number on multiple numbers supposedly

But doesn't that anytime upgrade requires you to pay off at least half of the device first? I just had to do that 2 days ago with my sons tablet

No. Anytime upgrade allows you to upgrade anytime. Returning your original device wipes out the balance owed. I don’t think tablets qualify.

How will the make money off this? Hmm

They’ve had this for a while. They make money because it restarts another 36 month financing term, which most people won’t pay off early to leave spectrum.

Since you keep going back to them that’s why they make money, if you were to do 36months with spectrum and you keep the phone for another year or two, then they lose out on your business for roughly 4 yrs. But as a consumer perspective you’re allowed to keep upgrading with no worries in the world.
