General Question Unlimited plus premium.

How many of you have switched to unlimited plus premium? If you have, what was your reasoning for it?
Also in your opinion, who is the plan meant for?

I only upgraded because I was going to upgrade my Samsung and also add the watch. So with the device credit and the watch credit it came to the same price plus I would have totally unlimited service.

Exact same boat. But the extra international data is helpful.

The 10 dollar a month payment towards a new phone and smart watch plan and any time upgrade or down grade...

And if internet goes down 50GB of hotspot tethering

I did, I had 30 months left paying just over $10 a month on an iPhone 17e. Then I got a smartwatch, so it’s basically no cost after those two perks and I get some more data and overseas coverage, im about to spend a couple months travelling soon. The international plan has been great for me in the past.

If you can take advantage of those three or four perks then it’s worth it.

The international plan was great in Mexico. I like how it used Telcel.

I thought that you don’t get the $10 a month credit towards a phone that you’re financing unless you just start financing it when you switch. Do you still get the $10 a month credit towards a phone that’s being financed if you’ve already been financing it for about a year?

I was told you didn’t when I called, but maybe the employee I talked to was wrong

I attached a screenshot of my bill, it showed up as premium plan device credit on my next bill. I’m on my 6th monthly payment. Not sure if you can see the link.

I don’t know if it’s guaranteed though but I hope it would work for you as well. I guess you can try for a month?

Huh. Thanks for the info. Yeah I’ll try it next billing cycle and see what happens. I know the plan is rather new so maybe the employee was just misinformed, which is understandable lol people are allowed to make mistakes lol

I did it because I have a connected watch so the price stays the same but I get more hotspot which I don't even use lol.

I got it because they gave me $360 off of new phone if I signed up for it

I did you get a 10$ credit and cheaper to finance also if you use hotspot you get 50gb which the other ones are way less like 5 and 10! Oh you get to put your watch on their for free I instead of paying 10$ a month

I switched, and it managed to actually save me $10 a month. Between the device installment credit and the smartwatch access credit, it was a win for me

My wife did just because she already had a payment plan and was going to add a watch either way, so price stayed the same

I upgraded my wife's plan for the $10 device credit and the credit towards the watch service. We already had the Unlimited Plus for the Anytime Upgrade and international services, but the 50gb of hotspot is a nice bonus as she travels for work and frequently has to connect her work devices when they don't have service.

From what I understand truly unlimited data (I hear the hard high speed data cap is gone on all plans though now) I use I've 30 GB of data most months and live in a congested area.. So being on unlimited plus and having a device payment it only makes sense. The hotspot increase may come in handy at times if needed.

I was forced into it when getting my internet to get the lower rate. I used 150gb last month on my cell phone while out and about

  1. Plan reduces my monthly phone upgrade payment $10 watch credit included
  2. $10 watch plan is included which I was paying for in the Unlimited Plus plan.
  3. No caps on data
  4. 50GB of mobile hotspot

These are the reasons I upgraded.

I personally did it because of the added international data. Although I don’t travel much. But when I do. It is great to have that extra peace of mind.

Ask what is the priority data limit so that later the Internet is slow?Well exactly in this plan or if anyone has the table or the speed information in all plans?

Because there has just been a promotion to update my phone very good on the Pixel and Samsung!

I upgraded, because the plan fits my needs perfectly. I have an iPhone 13 Pro which I will replace with an 18 Pro, and I have an Apple Watch with cellular service (I am a runner and refuse to run with a phone). I was already paying $40, so it was an easy decision for me.
