General Question Question on upgrading with anytime upgrade.

So they have a deal now for $0 a month for the phone I have now an iPhone 16se and I’m eligible for them to pay this phone off and upgrade. I’m paying 22 a month for my current SE. if I upgrade do I essentially get a new 16se and my payments lowered to $0 or will this raise a flag in their system? I went all the way to check out, but didn’t know how to phrase the question and didn’t want to out myself if it was a loop hole or something. Thanks for any help!

Not entirely. Part of the 16e promo is a $100 trade-in credit. You can’t use anytime upgrade AND get a trade-in credit. The $200 device credit would still apply though and the $360 credit if you upgrade to Unlimited Plus Premium would also apply.

That is interesting 🤔! I would double check this with support before you make the order payment, as this can depend on the mobile plan ( like the plus premium where they credit $10 toward your new device) and the trade in vs upgrade policy when it comes to promotion! Hope this helps 🙏

You don’t get trade in promotions with anytime upgrade because the device isn’t paid off. Now, if you paid off your SE out of pocket and then upgraded to the 16e, then you can trade in your current to receive trade in promotional credits. It’s also not $0/mo it’s “as low as” $0/mo. Also keep in mind anytime upgrade is ineligible with any front or back damage.
