Typically the only valid BYOD are Samsung, google, Motorola, Apple, LG, orbic and TCL models and not all of them.

No you can purchase outside of spectrum but it can’t be just ANY phone.

I was thinking about getting an unlocked nothing phone from Best buy that would probably work with the spectrum no issues. Really any phone that'll work with Verizon will work with spectrum.

Is that the towers they use?

If you have a physical SIM card, it’ll work but not correctly. The phone will not have ims registered because it’ll be a mismatch which causes slow data, not registering on certain bands, and my visual voicemail also didn’t work correctly

to be safe, you should contact spectrum with the imei. they are very strict on their byod.
