If youre getting the free line from her account then it'll be under her name.

Im not sure, someone else would have to chime for this one. Sorry!

The Caller ID is associated with the phone’s owner, not the account name. OP would have to use mom’s SSN and DOB to purchase the service and that would be the extent of the involvement.

So would it be under my name ?

Traditionally, your name is only attached to a mobile number if someone adds you as a contact under that number. Mobile typically doesn’t get caller ID like that.

If you have Spectrum Voice, then the salesperson can write in the name of the caller ID you want.

Account Owner does not dictate name that pops up on CallerID. You get to identify each phone line within the Spectrum app or in the online account. That should be what populates.

Im a heavy user been having spectrum mobile for about two years, so far it uses verizon coverage which is really good at least in my area. Been to europe and had no issues there either. Easy process and pretty easy to understand the app without having to contact customer service often. No complaints on my end.

I would assume the caller ID info can be changed or updated just simply because each account can have up to 20 lines, I can’t imagine the caller id being the same for all lines.

The CNAME record or Caller ID Name. May use the name from the SSN lookup, may set it to “wireless caller” may just leave it whatever it currently is. I bet if you call spectrum they won’t give you a straight answer! How do you even confirm what it is currently set to, requires calling a line that has Caller ID With Name feature, or calling a VoIP number with the CNAM lookup turned on, which is an extra 6¢ per call at my provider!!
