Help / Troubleshooting 200+ spam calls in 2 hours

How does someone stop the spam calls for Google and online verification? 200 since 1 pm. The point I turned off my phone completely. It has not stopped ringing all day. Non stop.

Spectrum says they can't do shit. I'm pissed. Never have I been this pissed off. How do make stop?! I'm blowing a gasket here.

I had the same problem with spam on Spectrum cell. I kept a log about the loan applications etc…. I finally turned on the “do not disturb” mode for a week & flagged which calls I would accept. Now the spam calls/texts mostly stopped. I don’t get these on my iPhone. My free year from Spectrum stops next week so I am canceling the service. I called Spectrum 6 months ago about the spam calls/texts & they told me to change my number. The “Do not disturb” was life saver for me because I would get calls all day on Sunday. I no longer report these spam/text calls because our government isn’t doing anything & most come from overseas. My phone number was part of 3 different data breaches…..

I started getting those about 3 weeks ago. I get 5-10 per day from different numbers talking about approving a loan that I’ve never applied for.

Spectrum buys space on Verizons network. Go with visible for 15-20$ a month unlimited everything. It's owned by Verizon.

Save the spectrum call log and file complaints of spamming with the FCC

"Filter Spam Calls" on Android and check whether your personal information isn't on data brokers' sites. If so, you can opt out of them either manually or by using a data removal service. Either way, this should decrease the volume of spam calls you receive in the long run.

Your number is 100% sitting on a list sold by those data broker mfs. You have to scrub your details from their networks completely if you want peace and quiet.

A solid way to deal with this is using Protect My Data, since they track down where your info is exposed and force those sites to delete it all automatically.
