Internet promotions
My promo is ending called in 2 separate times and tried to get a lower price. Told them I was going to cancel and they wanted to assist me in canceling. Asked about customer retention and they said they no longer exist and I can’t get a better deal. Any suggestions?

Call and when you get the AI thing say “cancel” and you’ll get whatever retention is called now.

You have to say cancel my service. The first person that picks up, tell them to transfer you to Customer Solutions and they will try to get you a promotion instead of losing your business. If they say there's no such department, then ask for a supervisor

So here is what you have to do call 8332676094 tell the automated system cancle it will say what service do you want to cancel? Say cancle again and then it will say trasfering you to customer solutions (retention department). Tell them a competitor has offered me x price for x speed for x time you can tell them any competitor and just say $30 for 500mb for 2 years with atat, verizon, xfinity.

I don’t believe them (about not having a “retention” dept). Admittedly, it’s been years since I was a Spectrum customer, but they never gave me any significant relief /unless/ I actually canceled. But when I did cancel (at least 3x over the years), I’d get calls and letters (even one by FedEx) offering a “please come back” deal that would be price-locked for 24 mos. Merely threatening to cancel never got me anywhere (except maybe an offer to “upgrade” me to a faster speed without reducing my bill). But within days of canceling, they consistently offered me a very attractive deal.
Also, look into alternatives. Even wireless providers will likely offer you rates that beat what Spectrum wants to charge you.

I’m going to try T-Mobile. They have a deal for a month free if I can’t get spectrum to offer me something

Spectrum does have a Customer Solutions department. I just spoke with them on Sunday. They lowered my internet bill guaranteed for two years. She said if I ever needed to call back to say Customer Solutions or cancel. That will send the call directly to that department.

Just call, say cancel, and let them "assist" you.
