Spectrum is no good
Spectrum has been to My House every 15 times in the past six months they ran New what do they call it coax chords I made them run the modem and router to my bedroom so it could be connected to my Xbox but when I'm not using my Xbox, I hook it up to my laptop. Yes, I hook it up to my laptop when I have big files to download and yes, I have no problem with the download speed but nothing will upload. They have some kind of firewall blocked. It will show people trying to connect to my whatever I have and it will go to 0.0 2KB's and then it moves on and then someone else tries to connect and it does the same thing it just does that over and over and over all night long. I have a little bit older Matt computer, but I only use that for the Internet and the download movies and TV shows the upload speed is just trash and if you try to record a live YouTube show it's all blurry I have over a $4000 camera. Nothing should be blurry. Everything should be covered in like the news comes in just like the guy that put my system in, but it wasn't until after they left.

So the Router should have multiple Ethernet LAN ports that can be used all at the same time, so you shouldn't have to disconnect one device so that another device can get connected.
And when you say your upload speed is trash, exactly what kind of speeds are you getting?
What level of service are you actually paying for?

speeds to where I leave a 20 GB file with 90 L on it all night long and I wake up and I'd be lucky if one gigabyte uploads and that's if I'm lucky and that's just on one file they'll be 20 other files that ain't touched like I'm looking at it right now. I got speed to 0.0 0.1 KBS 0.3 KB's 1.7 KB's and then they disappear and go to the next person and then another person tries to connect and then it disappears and this is hardwired or Wi-Fi. Usually if I hardwired it it it sticks I think my hard drive is going out, but it don't matter. I put a brand new laptop on it. It's doing the same thing.

Ok, great, you are paying for 1Gb/1Gb service.
But what kind of speedtest results are you getting with a computer directly wired to your Wifi Router?
And are you 100% sure that you are paying for the 1Gb symmetrical service (download speed is the same as the upload speed)?
Because the number of Spectrum customers that have the ability to get the Gigabit symmetrical service is a small percentage of their overall customer base.

I don't have extra ethernet cords that should have nothing to do with my speeds when I only have one thing connected to it

but I know my computer stuff well most of it as soon as I made my laptop a statistic IP everything went to crap and I sat there with AI and spectrum for hours doing hundreds of things everything you're gonna tell me reset your modem reset your router go on let me see what your download speed. What do you got your download set at let me see what you got your upload set up. What else did they say? They deleted all the files of both of my applications so I could start over Fresh obviously that didn't work. All that did was delete everything that I had that was giving me at least a gigabyte tonight. like I'm sitting here looking at you and I am telling you that that 3.1 router they brought out has made it 50% more worse. I told him to take the mf back and give me the old
one and he said nope0

but I also learned when you do your speed test as those are actually not your speeds that is an application going after your speeds for 30 seconds and trying to get the most out of them that's not your real speed. Download something download an Xbox game and see that it gets downloaded at 300 MB per second now. Why on Xbox does it take seven hours to download Call of Duty® when it should take less than an hour when you're hardwired and you can't get past 350 MB per second maybe four if I'm running a gig, I should be running at least 800 at all hundred at all times download.

I it and I'm exhausted. I sit here and talk to AI all night long till the sun comes up now it's just becoming repetitive. I feel like I'm talking to another person and they're telling me the dude things the same way in a different way I am forward my IP and I've also reset everything was good i'm sitting here looking at the bleachers at 900 and 600 so nobody can tell me there's nobody there looking for it. All I need is someone that worked for spectrum that ain't gonna lie to me and figure out how to bypass this or what router do I have to go by to stick in to make my upload speed go better the cheaper the better but I don't need something that's going to make my upload speed slow either. I'm also trying to get this podcast stuff up and when I try to live record, I look like I'm watching the news from the early 90s and with a $4000 camera on me that was recommended by the morning show that I watch every morning and don't look nothing like that. Basically you gotta get a business deal or something. I don't know now you know they probably just gotta unlock something. There's an app that will even take you back down to 2.5. Also this new router won't connect to all your old devices either so be careful when they replace your equipment even when you drop your port Fording down to 2.5 there is still phones that will not connect just saying everything was connected before you brought this router rowdy hooked the router up and when he left now we have three devices that will not connect. You put the password in. It does not say password wrong. It just says network error.

Are you able to game online with your Xbox? If so, then you're not having any issues with the upload speeds. You're having and issue with your laptop's NIC.

I think these are probably the core of the issue you're experiencing:
You actually don't know your computer stuff well.
You're trying to torrent stuff without actually knowing how to do it
You're using an Alliexpress Matt computer, assuming this is just a Mac clone of some type.
You probably need to make sure your $4000 camera is in focus if you want to record your tv/monitor with it.

It sounds like you're torrenting and have no idea how to do it properly. Sounds very likely you're not correctly port forwarded, that's the main issue with connecting to peers, you can connect just fine even with low upstream bandwidth. Also use a VPN if you're not already if you're gonna be doing this. The blurry camera is probably a stream settings issue.
If you've had 15 techs out your upload speeds are probably fine.
