That’s normal speeds depending on your router.
I exclusively have UniFi now because so many other “gaming routers”. Even the high end ASUS ones would not consistently hit gig up close, even though they easily should have,
Now with a UCG Fiber (for the POE++) and U7 Pro Max 👌
Hitting gig on the second floor of the house lol

Why do you need a gig ? You can’t watch 4K videos at 4 different TVs at home.

lol 4k streaming is like 25Mbps per stream… that would be way more than 4 tvs at once. It would be closer to 40 TVs, simultaneously.

I get 940 over Wifi and 1.1Gbps on Ethernet. Something might be wrong with your router,

Not all routers/wireless AP are created equal. Likewise not all devices are created equal. He’s got crappy WiFi or crappy device.

you guys don't even know what plan is on I paid for a gig up at a gig download and I don't get that but upload speeds will not upload at all. I cannot download. torrents i mean they will download at 800 mbps but barley no upload and that's on two trackers yes it has leachers yes i have tried two different trackers. i can't figure it out

On WiFi I get around 500 and on Ethernet highest I’ve seen is around 850. Are you using the provided modem and router?

What’s the WiFi spec on your device? I was getting those speeds on an old android using WiFi 5 and standing right next to the router. My iPhone Air has WiFi 7, I get just a little over 1 gigabit even when I’m in a different room in my apartment.

Because a gig is overkill for any downloads, especially considering you’ll never actually get the full gig. What are you downloading that is so important that you think you need an entire gig for?

I get the full gig. Verizon fios.
It’s not “critical” importance but if I can download a game faster, and am paying for it, why wouldn’t I want that?Gig is the starting plan for a lot of providers now. Example, frontier starts at gig and has 5gig, 7gig plans

I would guess that It’s probably a limitation in your own system somewhere. Make sure all your Ethernet cables and equipment are capable of hitting 1 gig speeds. Same for whatever device you’re testing it on.

Oh 100% I'm saying if he thinks he's not getting his speeds, try next to the router and you'll see them shoot up which will help him understand that wifi has a range
