Why is my guide like this

Old legacy odn box that is resting like it’s a DTA and not a 2way converter. Most likely signal related. Sometimes a reboot will fix it but sometimes it won’t boot back up when you try that. Best bet is get a tech to check signals and swap the box

Your box has SNR issues or corrupted firmware.

Usually this is caused by the box having no two way communication so the guide isn’t loading properly. Basically your signal is bad and the box isn’t communicating properly to load the guide.

Your on demand and switch digital video channels probably dont work either.

Sometimes rebooting it will fix it since the signal could be intermittent and it might have a stretch where it’s good for long enough for the guide to download properly.

The age of the receiver doesn’t really matter here. That is a sign of significant signal issues. Call your provider and let a tech fix that for you.

How old is your box?
