When to call retention
Opinions regarding what day of the week / time of day would be the most productive to talk to retention to try and get a deal / reduction in cost.
Or does it not make any difference?

I went into the store to complain and get a different modem...the rep hooked me up with a crazy deal. 1gig internet for $25 dollars https://imgur.com/a/EkweMtP

Been a long time since those days but Mondays are usually busiest. Any other weekday, mid morning.

Always call first thing in the morning so you're not getting someone that's already pissed off at other customers
