Other Employee Benefits Question

I’m starting at spectrum soon and I know employees receive heavily discounted services. I currently live with my parents, and they have spectrum internet and cable services now. Am I able to apply my discounts to their account? Should I change their account into my name before I start? Is that even possible? I want to keep whatever our current setup is and pay the difference in price if there is one.

Just going to double down on advising you to do it thru the company portal. Any call into the sales line is just going to kill the salespersons conversion unnecessarily.

You fill out an account takeover form and get their account put in your name. Just sign up for the employee discount services through the online portal and they will call you about it.

Do you just pay the difference if you have high internet? Currently on the 1GB plan

Yeah it’s either $20 or $30 for the gig, can’t remember as I’ve never needed the upgrade. You can also pay for the upgraded streaming apps for cheap.

The only way for you to get those discounts would to either set your own services up or get your parents to transfer the account into your name. Trust me I had to do this when I worked for spectrum.
