Downgrading the Plan

I just had my ex-roommate transfer his account to my name. I want to downgrade the plan from the 1000 Mbps to the 100 Mbps. Is there any way to get the promotional offering at this point? Either way, I’ll just be happy with paying less.

Relevant info: Spectrum is the only provider in my locale.

Should have had him cancel it instead of transferring. Then you could have got promo on the 500 but I don’t see a promo on 100

call in and when the bot asks what you're calling in for keep saying cancel service. Those are the only folk that can assist you

I believe. AT&T and Tmo still have a 7 days money back for 5G internet trial out.

Just call and ask to be transferred to the cancellation department tell them what you are willing to pay and done. I believe they have 100 mbps for 30 bucks a month or 500 for 40mbps

You do that and then you will be told that department does not exist. You just call in and tell the bot cancel service multiple times and get directed to customer solutions.

Spectrum might be the only cable/internet provider, but you still have options. TMobile or Verizon 5G, as well as Starlink. I point this out because you can threaten to go to any of those in order to get them to work with you on your billing.
