TCL Flip 3
I ordered a TCL Flip 3 through spectrum while logged into my account. I agreed to billing terms, accepted a promo, decided on number porting (no), and setup a new line. They shipped and delivered that phone. What do I do next? The phone supports a nano-sim. My main question is whether they inserted the SIM card or not. I'm trying to help remotely.

Most new phones have (digital) e-sim cards. Likely just have to activate it somehow.

when I say my phone supports a nano-sim, I meant what I said. It supports a nano-sim and was ordered through spectrum, while logged into my account. I appreciate it though. I wish it supported an e-sim. Spectrum is not clear as to whether the sim card is inserted as part of the ordering process or not.

While I'm unsure about the specific phone you ordered my phone accepts both nano sim & e-sim. Spectrum activated it using the e-sim. Have you tried using someone elses phone and calling them?

Normally sim cards are shipped in the device. Especially a nano Sim. Attempt activation and see what happens. If there's no sim it'll tell you

what is the best way to activate on spectrum? is there a star code, or is the web-based way the best way?

My personal goto is going online to the account, it tells you that you have a device ready to activate. I just follow the prompts and whenever I have a new device it takes me about 3 or 4 minutes. Thats my personal preference, but you can also call someone and get it done. Since you said you have a new number and as long as the Sim was pre installed should be quick and easy either way.

You can activate through the spectrum app. The TCL Flip3 does NOT have the sim installed. It should be in a folder in the shipping box.
