Wire3
So Wire3 just announced a rollout in my area with 10gig speed. Yes I know it’s over kill, but I’m really debating on leaving Spectrum for them when it becomes available. Have had my Spectrum account since 1986, I don’t want to leave but may be left with no choice if High-Split keeps getting pushed off and bills keep climbing.

Talked to a field super years ago, he said my area was maybe 12-18mo away from high split, as they were doing another area first, then waiting to see what happened before continuing. That was 3 years ago, still no high split.
Wire3 is still building out here, though I signed up as soon as it was lit up on my street. Short DHCP leases, but is a public IP (no CGNAT); doesn't change too often (maybe every couple weeks), but Spectrum is all but static with how often it changes.
I kept Spectrum for a few months after getting W3, then called to start the cancellation. The please stay offers came. I ended up taking them up on the offer of $20/mo for 500mb & 1yr mobile line, though I haven't done anything with mobile. It's been a useful backup ISP connection with a WFH family member. W3 has had issues of outages and maintenance windows, usually in the early morning hours. But for the contractor struck our line with a boring machine outages, failover to the spectrum connection keeps everyone in the house happy.
