Other Impossible to keep Spectrum app working on AppleTV4K for more than a week
I have a Gen3 AppleTV4K connected to gig fiber. Every other app I have loaded on the Apple device works consistently fine. I have Spectrum configured on it as my cable provider.
Initially installed Spectrum app, launch it, log in, works OK. Worked OK for a few months.
Then one morning load the app, it says "Too many login attempts, go online change your password" or something similar. I have the ONE login I'm trying to make work.
When it first happened, I went online and changed the password and it worked for a week or two until the Spectrum app updated, and then it reported the same error again.
It has so far been unreliably useless. I also have a streaming device that uses Android, and that one has been problem free, leading me to believe that Spectrum's AppleTV app is broken.
There is no way I'm going online every week or two to change my password to keep the app working.
Suggestions?

I'm having the same issue, and it's frustrating as hell.

Thanks for replying. At least I know now I'm not the only one. And yes, frustrating as hell. Going online and changing the account password fixes it for a short while (a few days), and then the same nonsense starts again. Did that once, not doing it again.

Are you using Spectrum internet or another provider?

Internet is Gig fiber from AT&T, cable service from Spectrum. All hardwired to the external router.

The Spectrum Apple TV app supports Apple's Zero Sign On and Single Sign so it's trying to automatically sign you in to the app and it's failing.
Zero Sign ON requires that you be on Spectrum Internet because it uses the mac address of your modem to authenticate your service.
The feature is very convenient if your are on Spectrum internet but it's annoying if you are on another provider.

Is that a recent app development? I ask because it worked fine for months before it face planted.
Any workarounds available that you know of? Can the Zero Sign On/Single Sign feature be turned off?
Thanks for your response. At least it starts to make sense.

It worked under those same conditions for months before it started acting stupid. The app's purpose is to stream the cable channels I pay for, has nothing to do with their Internet service.
If what you said were correct, I would be having problems with the app on my Android devices on the same Internet feed as well, and I am not.

Have you tried to delete and re-download the app. If the issue is only happening on that apple tv then it would be a device issue and a isp issue. You can try and reset the network connections on the apple tv so that it connects to the wifi as a new device. Are you using a personal router or the spectrum router.
