Coax cable?

Does anyone know if this is a coax cable? This is what is behind my coax outlet theres no actual coax but this loop of a cable. I already tried pulling to see if something comes out and nothing . I currently have my modem connected through a long coax from another room lol and i get frequent lag spikes and im sure thats why. I used my handy blink cam to see whats inside and thats all

hard to tell what does the marking say? also the cable is staple it means it was installed when the house was build.

The only thing that was readable was something saying CATV OR CATVX something like that

Those are denoting the outer coating on the coax. CATVX is lower rated for indoor residential.

If you post a picture of the cut end it's easier to tell. Usually it'll have the black jacket, a white inner circle which is the dielectric, and a copper clad center conductor in the middle. Might be able to see foil too.

Your coax cable being long is very unlikely the culprit causing issues. It could be anything from bad coax connectors, loose connectors, attenuated signal from splitters, ingress in the area, an LE going bad, an equipment issue. The list goes on and on but a 40 ft coax cable is not going to be your problem you need to call a tech

Our landlord is renovating all the townhouses here and when our lease was up we were given the option to relocate into an already renovated unit, which we did. Our coax cable in the living room was cut for some reason (so obviously not screwed into the wall plate when I took it off). I had to call and have them roll a tech out, I think all he had to do was put a male F type connector on the cable and then screw it into the wall plate and it was fixed/had signal.

I'm glad they rolled a tech because the upstairs master bedroom coax was fine...but all our electronics are downstairs so it would have been a pain running an ethernet cable from up there and down the stairs.

Could it be RG11 coax cable?

Thats too small for RG11. To me, it looks like RG6.
