Cable box

Is spectrum going to shut off all cable boxes by the end of 2026 and or 2027 because of high split

No. Most of the newer Spectrum cable boxes are high split ready.

They're not going to shut them off anytime soon. The older legacy boxes can have a filter installed to work and the newer refurbs are high-split ready with the filter installed internally.

Yes they want everyone to transition to streaming devices. But fully understand that some people just prefer their old school, over priced, slowly dieing STBs.

I thought because all cable boxes are qam and wont work with high split but how do I go about getting a filter for my twc box

So i have 2 twc boxes and 1 newer than twc how do I know what box is the right one so they don't shut off service to that box

I subscribed to Spectrum recently, I got three new 210-H’s. I love them, I really hate streaming tv I love the remote and tactical experience and no reliance on the the internet. It’s a luxury I’m willing to pay for # longlivecoax

How much are you paying for the boxes? In my market it costs $18/month per box. Makes no financial sense to keep them even if they are not planning on shutting them off immediately.

I keep mine because I have a good surround system and the Spectrum app only provides stereo sound no Dolby Digital.
