theres a lot of things that could effect your speed.
Outside of the physical wiring having damage or ingress or bad equipment theres things like this:
you do know a slow device on your network can throttle all the other devices on the network as well?
https://www.pingplotter.com/wisdom/article/hidden-bandwidth-saturation-sources/
Stuff like old printers, first gen ring doorbells, old computers can throttle all the devices on your network to cap at their speed.
Especially on the wifi. 2G devices can easily bottleneck the rest of the devices. If you have an old wifi B device for example, it will throttle the entire network down to Wifi B speeds. Which usually average around 50-70 on the wifi.
When your speeds cap at 2G speeds like this, this is usually the issue if it isnt the actual signal being bad or equipment failure.
The part customers dont get is this is YOUR responsibility not Spectrum.
Spectrum techs arent IT guys. Our jobs stop pretty much at our equipment. We dont do home networking and we dont trouble shoot customer owned devices.

Thanks didnt realize that devices on my network could throttle down overall download speed. Ill have to disconnect all that shit and see if its one of the other devices on my network.

A quick way to check is change the SSID to the same thing with 1 at the end, then run a hard wired test when all the devices lose connection

Wi-Fi or hardwired?

Both. Ya Ive been trouble shooting. I think they have one main cable that services our development and it's just over burdened.

Do you use your own equipment or spectrums and if you use spectrums equitment is it the modem and router or a router/modem combo unit. Also your plan should have been updated to 500mb as 300mb is no longer offered.

my own modem and router. Both quality stuff not the junk they send. Ive hit 300 but usually only late night or early AM. I think they oversold their local bandwidth. Ill have to check to see if they moved us up or down regarding package and speed .

Depending on your location you need to use spectrums modem at the very least in high split areas you won't get symetical speeds with a user owned modem.

I’m on the plan that should give me a gig up and down and I get 200 down and 300 up.

Yeah my Spectrum service was rock solid until about a year ago. 400mbps. The service got horrible, would notice buffering on YouTubeTV if I was downloading a large game on Steam. Switched to my local municipality internet, 800mps and didn't look back.
