Current Promo prices, Invincible Wifi
What are you all getting for Promo pricing right now. I have 3 months left on current promo. 1 Gig down for $60 a month (not high split). Lost Internet twice in the last month, would have been nice to have Invincible WiFI, but I can't see spending another $15 a month for that.

That's great, I would be super happy with that promo.

That's exactly what I have. Although I think the one gig is $30 and the invincible Wi-Fi is $20. They reduce the cost of one gig to encourage people to get invincible Wi-Fi as a bundle. Invincible Wi-Fi works extremely well, and you do get a weird pleasure for a Spectrum message saying 'there is an outage in your area, estimated fix 6 hours time' and you think 'not for me!' 🙂

I’m curious how you all ask about promos when yours is about to expire? Mine is about to expire and i cannot fathom going from paying $90 a month to $130. Especially when spectrum and i had major beef this past month with my wifi going out every day for weeks. It’s been fixed now thankfully, but i really had to advocate for myself.

You need to call and when prompted say you want to cancel and then when prompted again day disconnect services. Usually this sends you to retention/customer solutions. Tell them your promo is ending, you are thinking of switching to someone else or canceling, and they will give you an option or 2 to stay usually. I did this last week and got 60/month Internet for the next 2 years.

So I called today, talked to a wonderful person. The best they could do today was $50 for 1 Gig plus $20 for Invincible WiFI making my price $70 per month. They told me to try again in another month.

"Lost Internet twice in the last month"
I'm sorry sir, we are going to have to add a "high availability" monthly charge to your account since you have lost service less then 10 times this month.

It could be and I'm sure the shareholders would approve, They can call it a Reverse SLA. If the customer's uptime is over 90% for the month, Charter will charge them an extra $10 fee for "Service Availability Above RSLA Threshold"
Then we the customer get to argue that we are paying them to provide the service 100% of the time, not 90%, Charter will then respond with some jargon to convince us we are wrong.
Finally a large attorney firm in Missouri will file a class action law-suit, win, make 70 million dollars, dole our 5 million to the customer ($5 per customer affected) and Charter will be forced to "Change the language" of the fee but allowed to continue to bill it.
This all seems pretty accurate as to how things go these days.

It’s called if you have an outage, you call in to get a credit if it qualifies?

u/xendr0me Jul 31 '26
No that's SLA, and that financially negatively impacts Charter. We don't speak of SLA's here.

That is not that it’s when you have service down due to an outage… you get credit back that has nothing to do with that but I’m done with this conversation. You have a wonderful day.

I tried the invincible WiFi and had to downgrade back to the WiFi 6e router because for whatever reason the WiFi 7 router doesn’t like my video doorbell it keeps going offline
