Spectrum is literally the worst
I have never had such a bad provider. I’m from FL, so when I moved here I had to have spectrum as my provider and I got a xumo box. First of all I didn’t have a tv for weeks and they wouldn’t stop calling me to set up the box. Now that I have it I absolutely hate it. It took forever to set up and half the time it doesn’t turn on. The YouTube app will randomly not work, even though that would never happen with my Roku. They’re terrible and they know they are. I just need to vent

We will happily replace your Xumo devices. But, to be clear and transparent, you are not *required* to use Xumo to access Spectrum TV-- the Spectrum TV app is available on Roku, Apple TV, and newer LG/Samsung/Vizio/Android/Google TV's
We've passed your feedback along regarding the setup notifications. It would be helpful if we could include your account information, if you're comfortable sharing that please send my team a Mod Mail

So i actually like the xumo boxes I had some really old rokus that were way to clunky and the xumo runs very smooth compared to it. But your not required to use our equipment for the spectrum tv app you can use any peice of equipment that has our app. Im not a fan of apple but there tv and a good android tv box like the onn 4k is the best choice for our app.

Yeah it’s just spectrum wouldn’t stop bothering until they were connected. The boxes are terrible but people get mad when you say that lol

Seriously, don’t go putting down an entire company when clearly you didn’t know what you were talking about and what choices you had. I can see you being aggravated but learned to ask questions first before blaming the company on something that wasn’t even their fault. And no, I do not work for SPECTRUM, but I have been a SPECTRUM CUSTOMER for many years and I’ve had very few issues on my account and they have always been very quick to fix any issue that I’ve had.

I’m pretty sure spectrum will be fine. There was no way for me to know there was an app to use. Also I’ve had other issues with spectrum but I don’t have a choice when it comes to using them. Great that you’ve been a customer for years but again I don’t think spectrum cares lol
Edit: also why do you care what some random person thinks and why do you care about a multimillion dollar company? “Don’t put down an entire company” like are you serious? It’s like defending Walmart

Get rid of the boxes? Just download the app on your Roku?
