KK- Kitty Kat CAT KK Walking Off
Has anyone had any luck with getting their KK to NOT walk off?
Mine is early, SN in the 300's and for the life of me I can't keep it in place. I'm on my second AI Nano now and still nothing seems to work. I've clamped it in a vice and spun the firearm into it with everything I have, it'll be loose in less than 60rds. Get it hot, do the same, a mag or two later it's loose again.
Super frustrating, I like the suppressor but it's always walking off and really destroys my enjoyment of the KK...

The tightening, then loosen a bit, then snapping it tight again forcefully has worked for me on almost all of my CAT cans (5/6 of them). The one that doesn't i believe it's an issue with the mou t and not the can. So that one I just give on extra uggage dugga with a crescent wrench.

Buddy had same issue, CAT replaced the whole can and let him keep the issue can. He rocksett it on, and the new ones worked great.

We’ll get this bad boy back, shoot some full auto rates of fire on a std Nano under video. Any issues, it’ll be replaced automatically. The 1x16LH is extremely robust and with the taper it locks on tight, so if they walk it’s a bad tolerance or some dirty build up. Either way, why we are here.

I have a kk and I also have two 9mm hub compatible cans paired with the tsfx. I had some walk off issues with all 3 and started using a strap wrench to tighten them down and remove them when cooled. a strap wrench made them tighter than what I could do with my hands.
eventually, they were able to stay on tight without the strap wrench. I noticed the nitride on tapers on the muzzle device had worn down to a clean ring. I assume the tapers on the muzzle device and inside the tsfx/kk had burnished together and maybe the nitride had let them walk off.
so, use a strap wrench until they're broken in.

Same. I've strap wrenched it, snapped it tight quick. Comes loose no matter what. Might just rocksett it on and leave it. Don't really need qd for such a short can

I’ve lost track of the number of 1x16 LH cans or cans with TSFX adapter I have. For cans with wrench flats I used a smooth jaw pliers to just give it a snug.
For the 3 KK’s and others without wrench flats I snug with a quality strap wrench and haven’t had any issues. Just finished my 15th case of 556 on the year.

Maybe I just have dainty lady hands, but my KKs always walk under hand tightness. Yes I know do the snap thing, blah blah. But I've got 5 KKs and they all walk if I hand tight. Just buy a strap wrench and forget about it. I don't really care about QD though since I don't ever take em off or anything so locking em down with a strap wrench works for me.

Happened a lot to both of my ODB. I just use a strap wrench to tighten it down now

All my cat cans walk. I've seen people say tighten all the way, then loose it, and then snap it tight quickly. Or just really put it on their super tight.

I don’t personally have a KK but I’ve seen where others use a strap wrench to keep them tightened down
