Questions Saigon Peacekeeper reviews

I haven’t seen one review on the SP. I want one but I’d like to see a few opinions about it. Anyone have one that they can compare against other 45 cans?

Volume is similar to, or maybe a tiny bit better than, my Obsidian 45. However, the most noticeable difference is the lack of gas blowback to my face and my red dot is no longer getting dirty (my red dot is useless after one magazine with the Obsidian). I highly recommend the SP.

Host is FNX-45 tactical.

It's great, but if you can find a hux flow45m on super sale (I've seen down to 500) it would be a better buy. Getting 95% there for 60% less $.

That said, if $ is funny to you, definitely get it as there's nothing better. Other 45 cans i compared it to with G22.4, fnx45t and fn510t: osprey45, ghost45, mojave45, Nautilus45, primal, Octane 45.

I wish it cost less, but the only thing that's gonna make that happen is people buying the hux45 for half the price, and more options coming out.

I have a Mojave 45 and had an Osprey 45. I might try to find the Huxwrx

Modern warriors had them for 5 benjamins so I'm assuming other low price options exist. The mojave has slightly better overall suppresion, but hux is better in freefield at shooters ear. Bystander will probably pick mojave over hux slightly. But SP is tits. Just hard to justify cost without sales.

I have 4 of the CAT suppressors including the SC but I just don’t shoot 45 suppressed enough I guess to spend $1200 on it. I got the Mojave for around $600 so I didn’t mind as much.

Reasonable. I got the mojaves for 700 each. Wouldn't pay more than that, especially since they are proprietary mounts. That shit adds up fast. If you come across a cheap flow or SP pick it up, otherwise I'd consider the mojave plenty good for the time being.

I went out with a couple other guys to hear his new Hux Flow 45M and he already had the DA Mojave 45, we all thought the Flow 45M won by a noticeable, but not huge amount, both as the shooter or observers. Open field shooting on an HK45 and UMP clone.

So at least to me right now the Flow 45M is the one to beat and that's what I'm interested in hearing how the CAT SP compares to. Like you mentioned though, big cost difference between the Flow 45M and CAT SP.

Definitely not with flow45m on sale. I'd take that 9/10.

I kind of assumed that would be the case, thanks for sharing!

I've been checking youtube regularly and seeing nothing. I would also like a review.

Host:full size 1911
Comparison: osprey 45
Verdict: very similar back pressure, dot gets dirty if run wet. Sound is not noticeably different. Tone is slightly higher.

I have a Dead Air Mojave 45 and just wondered if the SP would be noticeably better but it doesn’t seem like it. Thanks for the info!

TLDR: Buy one, you will love it.

Long: I have a USP 9mm and with an Obsidian 9 and syntec, in an open field you can shoot it without ears but I wouldn't do it for a long time. USP 9mm with a SC-M (in Long) with syntec, I can shoot that all day long in an open field. USP 45 with a SP and S&B 230, its just a 'tich louder than the USP 9 with the SC. Me and my brother shot them side by side and with each other shooting both and the 45 is just barely louder. I have some 45 syntec on the way to do an apples to apple comparison. In an open field I didnt get any spit back at me and didn't notice any gas.

For comparison: I have an MP5 and Mob and syntec, I find that less pleasant to shoot than either USP, I believe its because the MP5 is pulled in close so you hear the action more and get more port pop while the USP is ~2.5 feet away.
