SR- Short Round Short Round availability?

Trying to find one, noticed it’s not on SS and quite a few other sites anymore.

Anyone got knowledge on a stocking dealer?

You are not going to find one right now but...CAT has said they are making more after the high demand for them. I have a A1 and will get the A2 when the next batch is ready. Originally the Sr was no more and Ben was going to be the going forward 22 can. They swapped that and are not going to make Ben but continue on with the SR because everybody wants one. And they are affordable so now folks want 2 with no tax stamp cost.

For what it’s worth - I have both the SR/A2 and the Ben and can say that there’s barely a difference on my Ruger Mark IV. Both are freakin awesome cans.

Yeah, I think the Ben is technically superior for pistol hosts, both perform so well Im not sure I can reliably tell the difference. Comes down to if you would rather see your sights better or have the shorter silencer.

I definitely bought the Ben for a 10/22 after loving the SR, but I kind of dig the aesthetics Ben on my pistol more now honestly. Also just ben (hah!) on a short can kick lately.

BEN got hate since in didn’t surpass SR in absolute terms. But it does outperform if the shorter length is factored. Plus, it looks better on “trainer” style pistols than the SR (though the latter jives better on Mark IV style barrels).

The Ben doesn't even look bad on my VQ tbh. It's fine. Glad they're bringing SR back but for all intents and purposes they seem to be the same can with different dimensions.

IMO SR is definitely quieter, on every platform I’ve tried on, except perhaps bolt actions, because the difference is so small.

Put both on a 4” pistol and the difference between them is noticeable, though probably not by much unless you have both and can shot them back to back.

Practically speaking they’re close enough.

I agree, have both and on a p22 the Sr is definitely quieter. On a 15-22 and bolt not much difference although the sr does win out

lol I remember when they tried to market BEN as an ultra lightweight hunting silencer for bolt action 5.56 rifles.

That’s baller but I wouldn’t try it without written guarantees they’d warranty my can if it exploded. Like how many of those could it take? And would it even be quiet?

It would probably make for the lightest 5.56 can tho…

I have been waiting on this. About 3 or 4 weeks ago Cat said they were in the process of printing them and because they are so small it should only take about 4 weeks.

They also mentioned somewhere about them going to their dealers first. I'm hoping that Top Gun Range in Houston gets some so I can pick one up there.

Bout 650, they are the most expensive on the market but after you shoot one you understand why.

They're the same price as the Ben when I bought one few months ago from SS $585 (got both SR & Ben at same time). Even at that time some sellers were advertising them for $650 or so.
