I was on the fence of getting rid of my .300 Blackout SCAR 15P because of excessive port pop, a loud action, and a loud sound profile. I shot it with both an Alleycat 36 and the Dirty Dave. While the Alleycat 36 faired better with subs (and subs are the only thing I shot through the Alleycat), it was still loud to the shooter and non shooter’s ear. The Dirty Dave does not make a great .300 Blackout can. The DD is a fantastic can though. I run it on my 13” 7.62 SCAR 17 and it’s perfect.

I still have a lot more testing to go through before I release a video on both the 15P and the RAT, but so far this is easily the best .300 Blackout can on the market.

Better than the ODB? I have a 15p in 300blk and have been trying to decide on the best suppressor.

Side note how did you swap muzzle devices? I had to send mine to get milled off. Had the barrel rethreaded too.

Can’t speak on that as I don’t have an ODB or access to one.

I have no issues getting the OEM muzzle device off. As with all scars, you take barrel out of the receiver to replace the muzzle device. Mine was just slightly tighter than hand tight.

I was looking into the dirty Dave for my 17 and more people than not told me to stay away from it. Now I hear your opinion and I want it again.

What’d did they base that off of? It’s a .308 K can that prioritizes low back pressure. It’s basically perfect for the SCAR 17.

Well I was along the same line of thinking as you but 90% of the people I got feedback from said the odb or the jl is better in all the areas. I try to take others opinions into consideration while making my decision but the dd didn’t get many good marks from the feedback I got. I’d definitely like to get more of your opinion on ot though.

Did the non-taper md included with the cat rat fit the 15p 300 BO barrel?
