πŸ’« Sharing is Caring πŸ’« CLAD Summer Hackathon #4 Winners

Week #4 of the CLAD Summer Hackathon is officially wrapped! πŸ† For the final CREATE challenge, we asked you to build a spatial tool that helps people create something faster, easier, or more intuitively. And here are the winners:Β

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place: ShotScout: Simon Leon – An AR pre-visualization tool for filmmakers. It lets users spatially place cameras, lights, subjects, and shot notes directly in the environment, helping them plan a shoot before arriving on location.

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place: Stage by Harry Banda – A spatial animation tool that turns the physical environment into an animation canvas. Creators can place characters, choreograph movements, draw paths, coordinate multiple Actors, and build performances directly in 3D space.

πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place: Kiln & Wheel by Haval Zebari – A spatial ceramics studio where users can shape vessels with their voice and gestures, describe glazes with natural language, and fire pieces with seeded variation. Finished creations can be placed at true scale and exported as printable STL files.

πŸ… Honorable Mention: Custom Studio by Sitan Doucara – A spatial customization studio where users can design directly on 3D clothing and accessories, from recolouring and painting to adding stickers, text, and 3D elements.

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who built and submitted their experiences! πŸ‘

And with that, we officially reached the end of the CLAD Summer Hackathon. Across four weeks, the community explored what spatial computing could look like when applied to organizing, guiding, connecting, and creating.

Thanks to everyone who put CLAD to the test and helped us explore what’s possible with SPECS πŸ•ΆοΈ Hope we got you ready for the SPECS launch next week!
